You sound like one of my sons. Back in the day we use to skateboard on our backs down from the summit on Hwy 9 into Saratoga Ca, we'd stop by KMart and buy a pair of sneakers to use as breaks, they'd last on run.

I had such a hard day today. I had to sit in a pool with an ocean view and drink a few brews. Dapper Jr is exhausted.

Yesterday evening I have been modeling! Yes indeed! Shave modeling that is. :D My hairdresser learnt his trade some 30 years back in an old style barber shop and is taking up shaving again. He needed to brush up his technique and his employees need to learn from scratch. So they needed victims models. Since they are aware of my shaving obsession hobby, they asked me to come and sit. So I did.

They sought a quality barber to teach them all ins and outs. He was there as well yesterday. Gave thourough hints and teaches all they need to know. They do at least two passes (WTG and ATG). Proraso pre-shave, Proraso lather (applied with a brush, so no lathering machine).
    1. Preshave rubbing (helps to get a feel for the grain)
    2. Hot towel
    3. Lather
    4. WTG pass
    5. Hot towel
    6. Lather
    7. ATG pass
    8. Cold towel
    9. Alum
    10. AS

When their technique gets better, they can do all when standing behind the client. No need to move around.
With better technique they can as well use longer and therefore less strokes.
The acid in the alum restores the skin to the right pH level, since the soap is basic

They asked me if I could sit again next week Thursday. Like dûh! Of course! Plus I'll bring my straights. The teacher offered to hone them. Yeey! :happy093:
If the victim client closes his eyes, that is a sign he is relaxed. Good. Open eyes: not relaxed. Bad.

:angry017: No, the bars are safe. The grill (gas) they got from Rent-A-Center wouldn't stay lit. They had to finish everything up in Culinary.
Really bummed 'cause I had hickory pouches all set to go for that added smoke flavor you just can't get from gas. :sad029:

Never did like gas grills. Gotta be charcoal. Gas is just cookin' outside. Charcoal is the way to go.
I'm going to see if they'll let me bring my grill and smoker next year. I'll even donate the charcoal - just gimme somethin' real to grill with!

I think you need to take your grill next time too! (speaking of which I'll be lighting mine up today...30+C outside calls for a BBQ)

Things are great right now. I was camping all weekend in the mountains, I head back to take the family camping for a week at the beginning of July; the Stampede starts up here in a few weeks; My wife and I celebrated our 9th on 9th (9th anniversary on the 9th of June) and I took her mini golfing. It was simple but really really fun! It was also nice to get away from the kids for a few hours too!

That's quite the manscape you have there...personally I thought you would have gone for a penguin...

That's excellent! May I suggest an adult beverage for the clientele as they wait. That's a nice service they're offering, :happy088:

Happy anniversary! Glad to see things are good.

Went to the barber today. Always a pleasure as he has a great shop full of wet shaving gear.
I found out that barbers can tell how healthy someone is by the state of their scalp. Strange..
Had a great haircut and a nice relaxing time.
Which makes up for me being head-butted yesterday by my 3 year old and my bottom lip looks like a swollen mess. She ran to give me a cuddle she had her head down I didn't see her coming. I just remember a lot of pain and pulling my teeth out of my own flesh. My daughter is fine.
I walked away when it happened cos I didn't want the blood to freak her out. After a minute she comes to me and says in her sweetest voice " Daddy are you sad"
I said no I'm fine I'll be ok. She gently climbs up on my lap." Are you bleeding? "
"Yeah a little bit but I'll be fine"
She gets a bit excited " Can i see!!!". So I open my mouth and she gives the wound a thorough inspection says simply "Cool" and walks away.

Last week I had an eye exam to get new glasses. I have a really slight prescription but it helps with text and especially computers. I don't wear them most of the time. I picked the new glasses up today, they were a little odd in the store but whatever. I got home, put them on and couldn't read anything in front of me for about 10'. Things off in the distance though, sharp as a tack. So, took them back, went through everything again, and am waiting for new ones again. The explanation handed to me was that the doctor giving the exam wrote the prescription for distance and they were re-writing it. Very annoying.

Honestly though, I have been chasing after Leif and watching my niece and nephew so I am sort of exhausted. uploadfromtaptalk1434057256880.jpg
