Father's day haul from As-You-Wish. New ring holder from my two year old and shaving / lather mug from my four year old.
Some new old brushes arrived recently. I had some old brushes that needed new knots so now I have four new boar brushes to break in thanks to our own @GDCarrington who did an expert job on some tired old soldiers. And if you're curious what they looked like beforehand, I included a shot of three of them.
My work hours increased quite a bit at the beginning of the year so I haven't had much time to be online (and I had to give up posting in the Shave of the Day forum) but I've kept up my addiction by spending most of the extra money I'm earning on shave gear. I finally took a bunch of pictures this afternoon so hopefully I can get a few things posted. On the left is an Old Spice flask that's still got some aftershave in it that smells good. The other two items are from Avon. The aftershave bottle is empty except for some stink so if I can clean it out maybe I can put something in it like homemade pre-shave oil or something. I've got more mugs than soaps at present so for now the mug is on the shelf till I get some more soaps. Avon apparently offered a Gentlemen's Regiment brush but I don't know if they were any good or not.
Here's a bit more of where my money has disappeared to lately. Several Schick razors (Eversharp) and one Gillette, all made specifically for ladies. I haven't tried any of the Schicks yet but I did shave with the Gillette several times and really liked the extra long handle. I had read that it's a mild shaver but I thought it was more aggressive than something like a Ball End Tech and I got surprisingly good shaves from it. Some of these came in their boxes and some didn't. One of the Schicks still has the plastic blade in it so it's NOS.
