I've never been a big fan of social engineering through the tax code, regardless of the subject of taxation.
Yes, and generally these are very regressive taxes, with a much larger impact on the lower economic classes. I can't agree with the philosophy of taxing tobacco and alcohol to the point it's a burden on the poor, but the wealthy don't even notice.
Joya de Nicaragua-Antano tonight...........long week. Maybe a bit of Buffalo Trace too...............
from my 20-something daughter and son. A hodge podge to run the spectrum from an everyday smoke to a Sunday relaxer, with a couple of quickies as well. Cheers! - RT
Ahhhhhh.......reminds me of taxation without representation! Yes, they are elected to represent but when have they found it without contrite to pass a law that has such a social implication without asking their constituents first as to their aproval or non-approval!!!!! Trying to regulate morals will not work. Only a well upbringing can do that. While I am not a cigarette fan by any means............those who choose to smoke them do so at their own risk. I just ask they do not smoke around me. I do not smoke my stogie in their presence, well, unless they are at my home and I am chillaxing!
My move is almost complete. Just one room to finish. It is time for a Montecristo Afrique Jambo..............
I just knew there would be those that enjoy a good shave also enjoy a good cigar. My favorite is Excalibur 1066 and just about anything with a Cameroon wrapper or filler.
Another in a series of 90 degree days in Seattle. A coolness breezes in as the sun powers down for the night. Time for a smoke on the deck. Avo Domaine No.60
My favorite goto because they are readily available and inexpensive.... Fuente Spanish Lonsdale for after dinner tonight.
