SATURDAY Took a break from straight razors this morning. A very nice DE shave using my favorite Mühle and soap. DE shaving is considerably faster and, dare I say, far easier to get a top-flight shave than with a straight razor. Having said that, I still find the whole straight razor process incredibly satisfying and do prefer that particular shaving routine. A good DE shave is, however, a pleasant way to start the day! Have a great Saturday, all!

Saturdays shave. After reading a thread on here about what brushes we prefer I went back to using a badger brush after a long time using a synthetic brush. It was a very pleasant surprise and I really enjoyed using the silver tip brush. Shave of the day Pre- Hot shower, Anna and Claras sandalwood bath soap Soap/cream- Mitchell’s Wool Fat Brush- Semogue 1470 Razor- Merkur 37c Blade- Qball platinum plus Post- Cold water rinse, Old spice original aftershave lotion and Nivea sensitive cooling aftershave balm I think I have found a good way to lather MWF =) I got very nice lather and a damn fine shave. I did miss a spot under my chin, not really miss, it was more that I didn’t get it close. First time using Qball blades, they were a gift from a friend. Im not sure they are good for me. They were okey, but not the sharpest. I could see my skin following the razor but it didn’t feel tuggy. We’ll see on the second shave. Old spice original = amazing finish to the shave

SOTD 6-27-15 PREP: SHOWER & MUSGO REAL ORANGE AMBER RAZOR: MAGGARD 18C BLADE: BIG BEN (3RD USE) BRUSH: OMEGA S SYNTHETIC SOAP: KELL'S ORIGINAL ENERGY POST: REEF POINT ADMIRALITY BALM SCENT: STEPHANS ISLAND LIME MENTHOLATED Very nice 3 pass BBS shave today. it had been a while since I tried Kell's and it is a great soap. It is easy to build a nice lather and the scent is awesome. The Reef Point Balm is very moisturizing and lightly mentholated. I added menthol crystals to the Island Lime so all that menthol made a nice post shave.
Thank you. Not necessary, but I did get a great shave and smell like a million bucks. Other than that...
