You are the 2nd person in 3 days that I know has had this issue. Did they tell you what triggered the inflammation and hope you recover quickly and back at in a day or two.
Thanks, guys. As far as I can tell, the rheumatoid arthritis in my right shoulder was a contributing factor to my first - hopefully only! - attack of pleurisy. Without trying to sound overly dramatic, it was when the pain started going down my left arm that I thought the ER was the best course of action. They've got me on a naproxyn regimen to deal with it for now. Tyr's Day: Prep: Hot shower, Neutrogena Invigorating Face Wash, TSD Jasmine Sambac preshave balm Brush: Simpsons 56 Best Badger Soap: Stirling Glacial Obsidian Razor: RazoRock Bamboozled RAKE OC Blade: Bic (4) Passes: WTG, XTG (9, 10) Post: Cold water splash, Bloc Osma alum, Dickinson's WH, Aveeno Active Naturals AS balm Cologne: Burberry Brit I almost opted for a soap I can lather easier today, but decided to finish out my Stirling focus month properly, though I did face-lather and limit myself to two passes to save time spent standing over the sink. As I expected, face-lathering Stirling produced less-than-ideal lather for me, and that combined with the Bic's last day made for a shave somewhere between SAS and DFS. The Aveeno made a rare appearance in the aftershave rotation, due to drinking practically nothing yesterday and therefore feeling like my skin, along with the rest of me, was dehydrated.
Had a really nice BBS shave this morning. Edwin Jagger DE87, Astra SP blade. TOBS Almond. (God, I just wanna eat this stuff!) Thayer's Witch Hazel. Ogallala Bay Rum aftgershave.

My favorite daily driver the FB is hard to put away for another razor, because it shaves me so well. It's weight does all the work. WTG XTG on my face and neck on 5. ATG on my neck on 3. Nice and slick lather and with my FB on 3 for my neck I can buff a little on the hard to get to spots for a very nice smooth shave. Great cucumber smell with the WH, and then some soothing Nivea. After cleanup some TOBS Have a good one y'all.

Shave of the day Pre- Hot shower, Anna and Claras sandalwood bath soap Soap/cream- Taylor of old bond street Jermyn street collection Brush- Semogue 1470 Razor- Merkur 37c Blade- Qball platinum plus(2) Post- Cold water rinse, Mentholated homemade aftershave lotion and Geo F. Trumpers Coral Skin food I got AMAZING lather with this cream, I had forgotten what a good performer it it, wow! I pulled out a big amount of shaving cream and lathered up a creamy, slick and protective lather. This blade was better on this use than the first… hmm maybe the cream helped too. But I did feel it struggle on the more coarse places around my chin. I dont think it will be a daily driver. Coral skinfood smells amazing, I have a sample and a little goes a LOOOOONG way. Im thinking of getting one, I like smelling like roses =P
My shave today was part of my exploration of blades I will be doing during July as what I call the Pre-30-Day-Rule period. Going to be using several blades to find the one that I will then use for 30 days to hone in my technique. Today's Shave: Prep: Warm shower, Hot towel several times (I need to make some PSO, but have not had a chance) Brush: VDH Boar that came with the Deluxe Kit Soap: Stirling MITA (AMAZING) Razor: Lord LP1882L aka L6 Blade: Personna Lab Blue Passes: WTG, XTG, touch up Post: Cold water splash, alum bloc, Old Spice AS The Stirling MITA is an amazing soap that produces huge amounts of lather for me. I love the smell and I have to admit between this soap and the Stirling Lemon Chill I am addicted to the menthol, especially in the hot SC summer. A good shave this morning with the Lab Blue blade. It gave me a good close shave, definitely DFS. Had 1 nick and a weeper, but those were due to technique and not keeping the blade at a consistent angle. I also have to keep reminding myself no pressure, no pressure, or else the blade reminds me. Tomorrow I will be changing blades because have used the Lab Blue for 3 times now. Next up is my Astra SP.

SOTD 6- 30-15 PREP: SHOWER/ FACE WASH WITH MUSGO REAL ORANGE AMBER RAZOR: MAGGARD 18C BLADE: BIG BEN (4TH USE) BRUSH: OMEGA S SYNTHETIC SOAP: WSP TOBACCO POST: DIY BALM Great 3 pass BBS shave today! this was my first try of WSP soaps and the scent is great. Not a pipe tobacco scent but more of a tobacco cologne. whips up a good lather quickly. I made some aftershave balm yesterday and it came out awesome. mixed witch hazel, aloe vera gel, glycerin, small amount of captain morgan's spiced rum, patchouli oil, tangerine oil, orange oil, and lavender oil. My dad came over and was wondering what cologne I had on so I gave him some of it. it has a complex scent, lasts a long time, and it's quite moisturizing. Hope everyone has a great shave today!!
