Thursday morning shave. Once again I disobey the manipulate only one variable in a scientific approach toward the perfect shave. Well, it was a great shave, so who cares! No prep product apart from regular shower and face wash Holy Black Sandalwood Smoke soap Omega mixed midget brush Newly acquired Fatboy loaded with a Bolzano Set at three and six for passes one and two, respectively Finish: Holy Black Sandalwood Smoke splash and some pure shea butter I have to say that all elements, old and new, performed flawlessly. The best shave in a couple of weeks, for sure. The soap producer has met some criticism on Reddit, I know, but I have no complaints - speedy shipping and, from my limited experience, easy and good latherability. Also, the Fatboy by far outperforms the Super Speed! @Misphit, on Bolzano: definitely like it so far. (Other favorites are Polsilver, Gillette 7 o'clocks, and a Feather every now and then). But there's the variables issue again, given that I used the Fatboy for the first time.
A great shave again just now. The Godrej Menthol Mist felt nice and cold, and the Penguin was so icy afterwards!

It's one of my all-time favorite records and I'm getting the chance to see them perform it in its entirety next month for the 25th anniversary tour. I have never been more excited for a concert.
I forgot I had them but I saw them in my little box o' blades and figured "what the hey." I've got another pack if you want to try them.

SOTD July 9, 2015 Prep: Hot Shower. Axe Shield Face Wash Razor: Gillette Fatboy Blade: Ladas Brush: Semogue 1305 Lather: Speick Active Post: Alum. Thayers Cucumber WH. Gold Bond Ultimate Aftershave: Speick NBJ brings out rarely used or never used products. This morning we have Speick Active! I haven't used this soap in well over a year, the Semogue 1305 whipped up a pile of lather in no time. I dialed down the Fatboy from 7 to 5, I've been having really close shaves. Changed blades, Wilkinson Sword wasn't for the Fatboy. A better tomorrow. Takes your best today!
Great shave today. 3 passes and very smooth. 30 day rule MDC Lavender Face Lathered Ladas blade Slim Adjustable set to 7
SUPER SPEED WEEK hot water wash with nivea men's and a washcloth brothers bristles/ ace black badger BOMBED soap commander respect Gillette red tip(b1) feather(4) Clauss 5/8 full/ round ICED Florida water today's shave was nice. I'm fast falling for the respect/ Florida water combo. the respect is becoming more lime and less pine-sol. three passes with the red tip left me dfs, one more pass with the Clauss hit me to bbs. I was hankering to get a straight in my shaves, so today was the day. finished with iced Florida water. hope y'all did as well, or better. no pic today, my mom's in the hospital. I've got a million things to do today.
In my experience the scents on Soap Commander round out and improve about 5 shaves or so into using the soaps. Their soaps really preform very well for me.
07/09/2015 Razor – Mongoose B2 with Jürgen Hempel Ti Blade – Feather Pro (2) Brush – Rudy Vey with TGN Finest Lather – MdC Fougere Post - Witch Hazel and Fine Platinum Another great near BBS shave this morning. It seems that the summer heat wave has started much earlier this year. The Fine AS helped cool things down.
Tabacstag! I used up the last of my HTGAM Bay Rum Tonic today. It lasted over a year, during which I enjoyed the combination of bay run and menthol cool. It left my face smooth and clean feeling. PAA makes some great aftershaves. I haven't tried their new soap formula yet, but I hope to get some this year. Tabac überlather is hard to beat. Der Vorschlaghammer return triumphant over my stubble, which really never stood a chance.
