We've had a similar weather pattern and forest fire issue here in Washington state as well. We'll need a ton of rain to help with the fires. I will say that the smoke from all of them sure has made for interesting sunsets here...there too I'd imagine.
Razor: BRW R89 Blade: Big Ben Soap: Tabac Brush: Oscar11 Marigold Post: Cold water & Thayer's AS: Obsession Really surprised at the Obsession aftershave. It has the right amount of burn and leaves my face feeling incredible. Tighten up yet still feel moisturized well. Plus a smooth powdery feel of my skin on dry down. I don't think I would pay $50 for 4oz, though. I found a full bottle at yard sale for $5. Its super amazing stuff at a $5 price tag.

Exactly! Beautiful sunsets, but we've had smoke stuck in the city for 6 days and, thankfully, it has subsided!
Shave of the day Pre- Hot shower, Anna and Claras sandalwood bath soap Soap/cream- Barrister and Mann Lime/lavender/cedarwood shaving soap sample Brush- Semogue 1470 Razor- Gillette Tech Blade- Wilkinson sword Post- Cold water rinse, Lucky tiger Bay rum aftershave lotion, L'oreal Hydra energetic aftershave balm and Nivea Sensitive cooling aftershave balm My first time using my Tech, I have had it for a long time, but I have never tried it. It was okey, I need to figure it out a little bit more. I used a wilkinson sword blade, it's a little dull on the first shave. I'll see how it is on shave nr 2&3. I got a pretty nice shave anyway. I used up my BM sample with lime/lavender/cedar, the sample was almost used up, so in the pic you can see the Nivea shave cream. It was just A precaution, I didn't need it =) the next sample I'm using is Adagio, I have no idea what smell it is =P but it smells good.

Sunday, July 12, 2015 Mongoose Shave #13 Shower, Stirling Soap – Clubman Smooth, Neutrogena Face Wash B-3 Mongoose with Triad Helix Hex TI Feather Professional #6 Rubberset 400 #3 Omega Boar Mike’s Natural Soaps – Barbershop Alum Block, Stirling Black Ice Witch Hazel, Unrefined Shea Butter Chiseled Face After Shave – Ghost Town Barber My @clint64 restored Rubberset 400 #3 Omega 1066 Boar has jumped to the top of my brush rotation. It is a face-lathering gem. Thanks Clint. I had a great shave today. Two passes + clean up, left me with a BBS shave. The Black Ice WH pointed to two spots where too much pressure may have been applied. The Goose is a big heavy razor. A generous splash of Ghost Town Barber finished it off. Ahhh, nice! Have a blessed Sunday Gents!
30 Day Rule - July 2015 July 11th Razor - CJB/Gillette New LC Blade - (8) (4 1/3) Brush - Omega Pro 48 Soap - Mitchell's Wool Fat Post - Cold Water splash, Alum, Nivea Original Post Shave Balm An early Saturday shave as always but I took the time to use the CJB on the first pass. Got good results, smoother, no cuts/nicks/weepers and it set up the New LC for a second pass DFS. Going back to a two pass with the CJB in the morning. Still about three weeks left in the month so I've got time to get this down. I may break the rule by changing brushes in the morning to the VDH Boar. Curious as to how it will work with the MWF as compared to the Pro 48. I have a shorter loft Omega on the way (yes, that does mean what you think if you follow a certain other thread on here) so I am curious. The lather is great, but I think a brush change may help. While a rule specifies one specific setup I think the brush change is minor. I'm really trying to get set up to move to kamisori at some point next month. Great Saturday at work even if the heat and humidity are back with a vengeance and I found a beautiful 2008 VW Passat a good home after only 4 hours of work. Hope you all had a successful Saturday as well.

Great photo. The more I see that 400 with the 10066 boar knot the better it looks. Wish I had used that knot in mine instead of the Omega 49 knot.
07/12/2015 Razor – GEM 1912 Blade – GEM Stainless PTFE (2) Brush – Olivewood with TGN Finest Fan Lather – Mitchell’s Wool Fat Post - Witch Hazel and Myrsol Formula K Sample Another great shave this morning. MWF lathered up great and had enough for a 4 pass shave. Finished off with a splash of Myrsol Formula K from the sample pack. Great peppermint scent and menthol level.
SOTD July 12, 2015 Prep: Hot Shower. Axe Shield Face Wash Razor: iKon Shavecraft 101 Blade: Personna Lab Blue Brush: Semogue 1305 Lather: Martin de Candre Post: Alum. Thayers Cucumber WH. Gold Bond Ultimate Aftershave: Folsom & Co. Shambala Ah! The joy of Martin de Candre on an early summer morning, birds are singing, dogs are barking, wife is snoring. 15 seconds with the 1305 on the jar provided enough silky lather for two shaves. iKon SC101 glided over my face as an ice skater over ice. Finished off with possibly my favorite aftershave Shambala as my sleepy wife rises her head to get a whiff of her sweet smelling man. A better tomorrow. Takes your best today!
