Things like this make me wish I had a truck with a bunch of tools. I don't know jack about cars but I fix all my own...thanks to Chitlon and Google. I really wish I could help everyone I see broke down....I know the feeling and it sucks. I hope everything gets fixed without a lot of money
Agreed. That absolutely sucks. Nothing worse. And now it's gonna be a choice of expensive (fix the tranny) or expensive (cut and run - get another ride). I feel your pain brother! Better days ahead.
Me too, however all my tools are 2 hours away in my parents shop, as I don't have the room at my rental. At least my company mechanic who services our trucks is cutting me a break...he better we drop 10 grand a month in service.
It's just stuff. You're a capable being, you'll figure it out and in time it's a blip on the radar. You can do this. Focus, get it done and move on to the next thing!
Date went very well. Four hours at a wine bar with wine and snacks. Bid and and bought a razor whilst explaining what I was doing. Yes, second date is already planned. We texted eachother when we got home - separate ones thankyou very much. It was so cute I felt a bit noxious
Today is a sad day in the video game world. Nintendo announced, not too long ago, that Nintendo CEO Saturo Iwata passed away on July 11 due to cancer complications. He was 55 years old. He helped usher in all systems since the Game Cube (2001), and he worked on classic titles such as Smash Bros, Pokemon, Legend of Zelda, etc. His work has touched the lives millions of people and he will be deeply missed. May he rest in peace.
Today is a not good day. I got woken up by my oldest because she as having nightmares, then I see Nintendo's CEO died, and in a few hours I get to update my resume and call a bunch of contacts because I got laid off 2 weeks ago. The company I worked at saw dit to cut costs again, by getting rid of my position...making this the second time this year I lost my job. I'll feel so much better tomorrow. Aside from that, last week was amazing!! I took my wife and kids camping in the mountains for a week (Banff National Park) and it was a blast! We went hiking everyday, got in fishing time, explored part of a ghost town, etc. I also taught my oldest how to use a knife (she's 7) and so she widdled herself some sort of spear one night. The weather was perfect! It was a good trip.
Had a coworker tell me on Friday that he overheard another coworker say that, "Micah's okay, I guess, but he's always talking to me about stuff I don't care about." Now, I figure there's two ways I can use this information... Regardless... Just to follow up: Still love my job! Was having some struggles on Friday, and management came in and calmed me down before I even had a chance to get worked up about it. It was so unexpected and wonderful. Oh, and the newest Crag book is out featuring my artwork:

I don't. He's an arrogent, self-interested stick-in-the-mud, and a little bit of a punk. Kids like that don't really bother me that much any more. Depends on how much cheating I do... They are! And Thanks! Now go write a positive review of the book! Just kidding. Except I'm not. He really needs good reviews.
