Yeah it's interesting that people take to it so differently. I am personally in complete awe of how extremely efficient it is and how it is just demolishing any stubble I have leaving a clean, smooth face within less of two passes. I didn't quite like the RR slant as for me it wasn't as efficient a razor as I thought it would be. It felt a bit 'meh'

This was my first time using Cella and I was pleasantly surprised. Wonderful mild scent of almonds and cherries, easy to load the brush, smooth, lubricating lather. If I had to select one cream from all my soaps and creams Cella would be the first to receive a box of chocolates and some flowers from me . Near perfect shave.

You've probably been asked already, but how do you like the Maggard OC? How would it compare to the Merkur 41c 1904?
The Mongoose is my favorite razor so far and I agree with you to a certain point. With any blade except the Feather Super Pro, I have found it to require 3 passes with touch ups to get the shave I want. With the Super Pro I can get the same shave in 2 passes with very little touch ups. Maybe at some point I will get to try out the Cobra.

today's shave hot water wash with dove+ care @GDCarrington customized Olive wood/ custom two band finest Cella Muhle r41/ duplex handle persona lab(5.5) ICED Brut today's shave was nice. the Olive wood is everything I could ask for in a brush. Cella( no need to say more, if you know, you know). the muhle/ duplex combo is a very close shave, more so than the muhle alone. three passes, very close, we'll see how comfy. finished with iced Brut, " the essence of a cool man". hope y'all did as well, or better.
Herm-It is too mild for me. It is probably good for folks that are leary of OC's and want to try one. This was going to be the second round for me with it, but I stopped after one shave............. Clint, I was contemplating trying the Feather Super Pros, but I just didn't like the design of the Mongoose head. It was too large for me. I much preferred the Cobra's head geometry, but I just don't like those darn SE blades. Those don't get on with my skin, unfortunately.
