I wanted to see how my FB compares to my Feather AS-DS2. So I set the FB on 3 for the entire shave to see if that was close, yesterday. Today I set it on 5 for WTG XTG on my face and neck, and ATG on my neck on 3. I have to be more precise with the FB on 5 and careful. I may also be using a lighter touch, but getting the same results. Bottom line is they are two great razors, that shave me very well. Great cucumber smell with the WH, and then some soothing JB. After cleanup some Vintage Old Spice Lime cologne from 1960s. Very nice! Have a good one y'all.

17jul15 Nicks and scrapes everywhere... No major blood though so that's good I guess. Definitely used the Nivea sensitive cooling today. My second use of the red tip and second bad shave. Different blade and excellent lather so I'm ruling those factors out. C1 Red Tip SS PolSilver SI(1) VDH deluxe soap TGN boar in ER 250D lucite
@GDCarrington : Yes, that's the soap I was referencing. Frey's Day: Prep: Hot shower, Neutrogena Invigorating Face Wash, TSD Jasmine Sambac preshave balm Brush: Simpsons 56 Best Badger Lather: RazoRock One-X croap Razor: Merkur 41c 1904 OC OC Blade: Bic (1) Passes: WTG, XTG (1, 12) Post: Cold water splash, Bloc Osma Alum, Dickinson's WH, RazoRock One-X AS splash Cologne: Jasmin et Cigarette by Etat Libre d' Orange I found that the weeper on my Adam's Apple had bled a bit more than anticipated, so I skipped yesterday's shave to let it heal a bit, then loaded up the Merkur 41c, as it's a bit milder than the RAKE. I had no problem producing great lather, but did have to fiddle a bit remembering the right angle for the razor. Two passes produced something more than SAS, but less than DFS; let's call it a CCS as a way to split the difference.

Being that you are the resident Vintage Old Spice officienado of the sight, could you describe the difference between Vintage and current Old Spice?
I agree 100%. I bought two in a bulk buy from an antique shop and I originally thought it was a long handled Black Beauty (I've never had one so assumed that these were it). This is my first week using it but I'm highly impressed with it.

I have a tendency to neglect shave sticks since I prefer to lather from a puck, but they always work just fine. The Chiseled Face Sherlock A/S reminds me a lot of Fine American Blend and it has a fresh barbershop type scent. great stuff!! Hope everyone had a great shave today!!
