MONDAY Smooth & easy three-pass shave this monday morn. I haven't used MdC for a couple of weeks now so this morning's use allowed me a refresher on just how easy this soap yields extraordinary amounts of lather. Have a great Monday, all!

Menthol Margarita Monday Prep: Hot shower w/ Grandpa's Pine Tar Soap: Stirling Margaritas In the Arctic Brush: Omega 13522 Razor: '52 Gillette Super Speed black tip Blade: Ladas Post: Witch Hazel, Stirling MITA Balm Scent: Tommy Bahama Very Cool Great 2 pass WTG & ATG shave today. Yesterday's shave was still close enough this morning that I felt comfortable going WTG & XTG only. Running low on my MITA balm sample.
The Floid Vigoroso following the Myrsol Metilsol created a very refreshing cool combo. I walked outside and it felt like a winter blast on the face.
Razor: Gillette New LC Bar Handle 1930s Big Boy wood case Brush: Vintage Ever-Ready 300L with TGN Silvertip 18/51 Mug: Old Spice 1985 Cobalt Blue Cream: Geo. F. Trumper's Coconut cream Blade: Feather (2) Post shave: Thayers Cucumber WH, Jack Black Post Shave Gel, Old Spice original Shulton 1947 glass Talcum powder (ship Mt. Vernon sailing to right), Old Spice original Shulton 1956 glass AS Stopper #3 Another good shave with the LC. Loaded a Feather blade, and checked the alignment. Whipped up some Trumper's Coconut in the OS Mug. Very nice two pass shave with some touchup on my trouble spot on my neck. I Like the scent of this Coconut better than the TOBS. Warm water rinse and pat dry. Some WH and after cleanup and a shower, some JB balm, and some OS talc. Finished up with some Vintage Old Spice from 1956. Let the Spice flow! Y'al have a good one!
Roger, If I remember right you purchased some of the Myrsol Shave Cream, what are your thoughts on it?
Shave of the day Pre- Hot shower, Olive oil bath soap Soap/cream- Arko shaving soap Brush- Turkish nr 6 Boar Razor- Gillette Tech Blade- Astra SP Post- Cold water rinse, Speick aftershave lotion and Nivea sensitive cooling aftershave balm Hmm, not the best shave. I'm not sure why. Maybe the soap? I have never been able to figure Arko out. I just need a little practice =) Oh well.. Tomorrow is another day =P Forgot the picture today.

Had my maiden shave w/ my Mergress XL this morning and it was indeed a great shave. Now I understand why all the Pro/Mer/Digress owners out there love their razor(s) so much. SOTD 7-20-15 Comments: Dang, I really thought after two passes and some cleanup I was going to get my first complete straight shave. The straight shave felt good and even felt very close until I did a rinse, then I could still feel stubble at the jawline and some on the chin but I did fine with the neck area and all rest though! I used the Wolfman razor (open comb side) for a cleanup pass in those areas listed earlier! One weeper and no irritation today and I ended up with a DFS shave but not BBS. No issues with the Proraso as it lathers easy and gave me very good protection throughout the shave. All in all, it was a very good shave today but could have been better! Please feel free to leave comments on any items used as I enjoy reading them to see what others say about the gear I am using/trying out! Of course, YMMV! Thx.
