I appreciate it @PLANofMAN, but if it's still there Aug 4th it's going home with me.

    Thank you!
Just to ensure that I am fully settled in, I picked one of these up today.
    When it rains, it pours....

A Frederick Fenney Tally-Ho (1833-1852), smiling 7/8 wedge with hollow notch tip. Big hunk of steel.
Small nick on the edge should come out easy enough. More than likely pre-dates the Wostenholm I just picked up.
Horn scales look to be original and in decent shape.

my man, go back( August 1) and offer them 15, after all its been there for a month and hasn't sold. you'd be doing them a favor freeing up display case room and all.
I do hope it's there for you, they are nice handles, and there are so few of them floating around.
good luck, hope to see it in August haul.

Well gentlemen, we are 2/3 on the way to August 1. Then I can drop by my favorite antique store. Went to my favorite thrift shop and walked straight to the wood rocker I was after, bought it and removed myself from the premises. Did not even go near the case where they keep the shaving stuff. Staying off E-bay is easy, don't usually buy razors off of the bay.

No, 13 is a lucky number. It allowed us Knight Templars to hide from the rest of the world while you thought we were all dead. ;)

I am glad that I have not been completely overtaken by shaving as a hobby. For me it is still a shave, and wet shaving is still a means to save money. I am loving how long a puck of soap lasts for slightly more than a can of cream, and how many months of shaves $20 will buy with a DE razor versus a fusion. I don't get all hyped up to buy stuff just to have more.

That is unless I read 3 or 4 pages of this thread.
You guys are the worst enablers I know of, but at least you're entertaining.

I was started out with the same intention. I found this site the same day I received my first DE stuff as a gift and it's been staright down hill since.

YES! It is way to easy to get stuck in the "Oh I'd like to try that," "Oh that looks nice," or "Oh that sounds like it would smell good." Then by the end of it you have 13 razors, 15 soaps, and 9 after shaves even though you can only use one per day. But you have to go buy more stuff. You just need to.

I wish it was only 15 soaps and 9 aftershaves.......multiplying both by 4 puts it closer to my reality.

I know I don't have a problem. I haven't bought anything in 23 days. I may or may not have bid on a few auctions, but I didn't win anything. I may or may not have a few purchases planned for next Saturday, but if I quit for a month that means I don't have a problem. Right?

what thirteen razors? I'd have to sell 75 percent of mine to have that few.

I have noticed, that I have used creams for every shave this month except for one. My wife picked out Proraso Red for me to shave with one day, all other shaves have been with either C.O Bigelow or Palmolive cream.

Yep, that's our goal...entertainment! Seriously though, it's your shave, so you can get what you want/need out of it. We probably all have different reasons why we DE shaving. I did it because it intrigued me and I was tired of an electric (no cost savings there!). But, we're all here for our own reason and that's good, that's OK. Maybe it will become more than just a shave for you someday, maybe not.
