    Schick Grip razor
    Personna blade
    Plisson/L'Occitane brush
    Marvy SS
    Osage Rub/Witch Hazel w/aloe
    M&L Florida Water Cologne

Not a bad shave, just not great. The Marvy SS pretty much disappeared quickly but did leave a nice slickness on my face so things went ok. Going to try a different brush tomorrow and see if that helps.

    TUESDAY
    Back-to-Work Day
Early morning shave. I added some TSD M-Bomb to this Valobra puck, which can produce a fine lather, but the 'chill' kick is certainly missing from this 'menthol' soap.
Three passes and near BBS results…and a 'glacial chill' from the Stirling post-shave balm...a great way to start what is supposed to be a very hot day.

    Have a great Tuesday, all!

    Tabacstag!
As usual an excellent Tabac shave. Der Vorschlaghammer was well behaved and efficient as the optimal überlather set up my whiskers for their doom. I used B&M Roam Kyovu which is powerful going on, but mellows quickly. I also tried out Van Yulay PSO as a post shave, but it takes too long to absorb, leaving a sheen, but very soft skin feeling.

    Prep: Tabac cream
    Soap: Tabac!
    Brush: The Colonel
    Razor: Der Vorschlaghammer
    Blade: Voskhod (2)
AS: B&M Roam Kyovu, Van Yulay PSO

Prep - Shower / Woods Of Windsor Cedar Woods soap / Pre-lather / 3 min steam
Razor - GEM Micromatic Clog Pruf
Blade - GEM Personna SS (#6)
    Brush - Omega 20106
Soap - Arko / Proraso Green / Glycerine
After - Frozen towel / Alum & WH Mix
    Result - BBS+++++++++

After my last shave's New LC / Personna Chrome disaster, this was a complete turnaround.
The GEM Micromatic Clog Pruf is new to me, arriving yesterday in fact. In anticipation, I had left my whiskers for five days and the result is The Shawshank Redemption of shaves. My face was never this smooth before puberty!! I can barely see stubble in my 10x mirror.
This may give my 1912 some serious competition - I love everything about this razor! It's my sixth SE but it certainly won't be my last! Big shout out for the blades too, they are unbelievable!

7/27/2015 My Big Fat Tobacco Tuesday!

Prep: Hot shower with Neutrogena Face Wash with menthol, home made PSO
Razor: Gillette Fat Boy F3 (3), H. Boker Master Razor straight razor
    Blade: Astra SP (7)
    Brush: Vie Long Horse Hair
    Soap: Tabac
After: Home made ASB, Tabac after shave
    Cologne: Tabac EDC

Tobacco Tuesday and it is going to be another hot one. The Tabac face lathered well with the Vie Long brush. The Tabac always makes a great lather. The FB and the Boker knocked down the stubble with ease. The Tabac AS and the Tabac EDC were a nice finish for this 2 pass Darn Fine Shave.

    Have a blessed day!

Mark, that is a fantastic suggestion and a great way to "use up" those small pieces. I have never heard of anyone doing this before, but it makes perfect sense. Thank you!

    Gillette Fat Boy
    Feather blade (1)
    Edwin Jagger XL Synthetic
    Trumper's Coconut cream
    Two passes
Alum, Thayer's Lavender witch hazel, unrefined shea butter, and Trumper's Coral Skin Food

I had a nice shave with the FB on a setting of 9 - no nicks or weepers but a few tiny bumps below my lower lip because I worked on it too much. All things considered, the New LC gives a slightly better two-pass shave than the FB at its most aggressive setting. Trumper's Coconut makes a good (not a great) lather with the EJ Synthetic. I've got some learning to do, as I've only been able to make enough lather for two passes with the synthetic brush. That works most of the time, but I like to have a little more lather for a third pass and/or some touch-ups. The big surprise for me has been the Trumper's Skin Food. It makes for a great finish to my shave, and I enjoy the light scent.

    Prep: Shower
    Razor: Gillette Old Type
    Blade: Blue Bird (3)
    Brush: Omega 80080
    Lather: Jack Black Supreme Cream
Post: Cold rinse, Witch Hazel, Aqua Velva Ice Sport, Gold Bond Moisturizer

Very nice shave! Almost BBS. Can feel a bit of stubble left around the neck.

The Gillette Old Type may be noisy, but it's a wonderful razor. :)

A shave with a Lebanese twist for Wednesday morning:

Neutrogena Men Facial Wash :love055: :love055: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily:
    Large Horsehair Barbershop
    Super Speed/new SuperMax Blue
Gada Cool Mint SC :love055: :love055: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily:
Anherb AS Gel :love055: :love055: :love055: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily:
Proraso Green AS :love055: :love055: :love055: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily:

Not a really bone-chillingly cold selection for this shave but still cold enough. The Gada Cool Mint cream from Lebanon is so cheap - not even two bucks here in Montreal for a 75 gram tube, but it's so terrific. A minty/lemony scent, tons of rich, creamy, stable lather from just a small dab on both cheeks, and it feels so cooling and fresh. The camomile in it leaves the skin feeling relaxed and so soothed. The Anherb gel packs a stronger menthol punch and my wife tells me it smells sexy on me. The Proraso Green aftershave is another chiller which I enjoy a lot. These SuperMax Blue blades are not too bad at all. ;) :D
