1. image.jpg Thought to use my smallest razor Today, a 9/16 Ern.
  2. OK, I'm a big enough guy to admit it. I don't have the self discipline to go seven days without using a Japanese western style razor. The thought of the prospect was leaving me quite cold. Truth of the matter is, I don't get a finer shave from any of my razors, my J-Wests simply have set the bar too high. I surrender. Mea Culpa, mea maxima culpa. Celebrated abandoning this self imposed exile from my beloved J-Wests with a superlative shave from this lovely FEON 172, one of my favorite brushes (a good old Plymouth reknotted with a TGN Silvertip), a bit of Palmolive shave creme (WAAAAAY underestimated in our community) and as a coup de grace, borrowed some Mandom from Chuck Bronson.

    Feels Good Man.

  5. You just gotta scratch that itch!
Never having ever used a Japanese Western razor, I'm immune to the allure—but this not to say that I am not curious in the least to get me hands on one…eventually.
(whoa….triple negatives in one sentence! Do not never say I have not ever used negatives in not making a point!)
  6. Don't do it Kevin...they'll ruin you.

Maybe you'd like to try one for a few shaves...? I can make that happen...:signs136:.

  9. I've commissioned a Tim Zowada custom, but when it's paid for, a Waterhouse is next. These things are just beautiful, he has an eye...
  10. Excellent choice Mike I've owned and honed every custom razor out there and the fit finish and shave you will get from Michaels razors are simply superb, I would contact Michael now If I were you as the last time I talked with Michael he told me there was a 6 months waiting list and he only asks for a small deposit.

First razor I have successfully used my hones to get ready. Not totally there yet, but close. DFS shave and no cuts.
  15. That little Omega 10066 is a heck of a good brush. And budget friendly to boot.
