Same shave today as yesterday, but I also did a full head shave after 10 days of slacking. Took 3 passes to get the dome smooth. It is so hot now that I am fully converted to cold water shaves!

I really like it. Definitely bourbon comes through but you also have the Pimenta Racemosa with light orange spice note but to me the real difference is the vanilla I pickup in it too. If they ever go back into stock I will pickup another for reserve as it took me almost two years to finally obtain this replacement bottle for the one that broke Christmas 2013.
So first shave off my August 30 day rule in the books. Will be focusing on technique using the below. Razor – Lord L6 three piece razor Blade – Gillette Silver Blue Brush – VDH Boar Soap -- MITA Post - Witch Hazel Excellent shave earlier. One weeper because I tried too hard between my lip and chin. It is a problem area for me right at the crease. Got to work on stretching my face to beat assist especially on lower neck and around chin. Lather was great doing bowl lathering. Ended up being an excellent DFS Plus shave that lasted throughout the day.
SOTD 1 August 2015 - The Phoenix (Debut) PAA Phoenix DOC La Toja Shave Stick Shark Super Chrome L'Occitane Plisson Synthetic Alum Osage Rub August has 31 days, so I slipped in a detour. Shark Super Chrome was the first DE blade I ever used, on 11 August of last year. I joined TSD 15 Sept 2014, read @GDCarrington shortly thereafter, did a rule, and have been doing them, in some form, ever since. If any one is interested, a new group is starting now! Click the link in my signature if you wanna check it out! It's really amazing how much better these blades became after aging for a year in the bottom of a box. I'll be back tomorrow with the real rule for the month. Other than that...all is quiet in Colorado. Have a Super Sunday!
A good BBS shave but that SuperMax Blue blade is going in the garbage and will be replaced by a new Personna for tomorrow. The Frozen Tundra soap is a menthol atom bomb with great, easy-to-create lather and an awesome scent which I still can't figure out!
08/02/2015 Razor – Gillette Slim (J3) Blade – Lab Blue (2) Brush – Rubberset 400 with Omega Boar Lather – Mystic Water Lavender Post - Witch Hazel & Myrsol Metilsol Sample
SOTD August 2, 2015 Prep: Hot facecloth followed by homemade lavender pre-shave oil Soap: MWF Razor: Gillette Canadian Heavy Tech Blade: Astra SP Brush: Semogue Post-shave: Hot facecloth followed by Witch Hazel Aftershave balm: Shea butter/coconut oil Mustache Wax: Badger This combination is absolutely wonderful. Today is my razor switch day and I have moved on to my Canadian Heavy Tech...and I am amazed at this little razor...so efficient and easy. Great shave. And you just can't beat a Semogue brush. Enjoy your Sunday gents... (Hard to believe its August already).
Unfortunately no Gary. Which is why it's so bittersweet when I take one out to use. Thank goodness we vintage junkies have people like you to keep the old brushes alive and in use.
