August Focus - Slim and Feather AC
    August 2
    Razor -Feather SS AC
    Blade - [IMG] (1)
    Brush - Vie Long 12705
    Soap - Proraso Green Tub
Post - Cold Water, Alum, Proraso

It's an AC day since it's Sunday. I woke up all ready to dial up the Slim and remembered the order. So, grabbed the Feather and off we go. It's been awhile since I used my horse so the Vie Long was chosen. It's also been awhile since I've used Proraso so that gets the call as well. Great lather and I think the horse works really well with the softer soaps. It was really easy to load and the face lather was awesome with the extra scritch. Love the 35/65. I keep looking for another horse brush but almost all I've found are 50/50 and I'm not sure I'd like that as much.

Settled in on the first pass and everything worked great. Thought I felt just a slight bite near the right ear but didn't see anything. Continued on with the right side then switched and went full Japanese on the left using only my right hand and same blade side. Very comfortable in the hand and the first pass finished very nicely on face and neck. Much more consistent than a month ago. Picked up the brush and noticed two tiny nicks near the ear where I felt the bite. Even with the Kai Mild blades you get away with very little with this razor. Second pass was ATG and the left side was a bit awkward still but I made it. Lathered again for the neck finish and found a DFS at the end. Good enough.

Alum was hot but not terrible as usual with this razor so far. Hit the Proraso A/S for the extra burn and nice smell. All in all a great shave! Tomorrow it's back to the Slim. I think I'm on schedule now.

It's a perfect beach day, and I'm sitting at the beach fondling my BBS chin, courtesy of Ogallala Bay Rum soap, Edwin Jagger DE87, Astra SP, Semogue 830, and Ogallala Bay Rum aftershave.

Washed my hair today with Palmolive shave cream. Worked great.

Don't ask what happened with the PrepH.

    Did it involve a toothbrush?

Yikes! @Boojum1 is right, glad it was only the cheek.

I thought it did but wasn't wearing my glasses. It involved another type of brush that typically resides in the bathroom. I really can't talk about it right now.

I'm hoping razor involved rather than toothbrush involved.

Asco blade did an OK job, but after its third use it was time to say goodbye.

POST: MENTHOL MASTERS BAY RUM/ DIY TANGERINE PACHOULI BALM:Animatedfrozensmily::Animatedfrozensmily::Animatedfrozensmily::Animatedfrozensmily:

Sorry no pic today. just did a quick 2 pass shave. at first I was just going to do a test lather with this soap, but I added glycerin and menthol crystals to it and wanted to check the slickness of it. The older Williams makes a nice stable lather and the menthol was bone chilling cold. Not too sure if I care for these blades as I think that is where the irritation came from so it's trial and error. The DIY balm turned out to be awesome stuff. very soothing on the skin, helped calm down the razor burn, and has a great scent. the only problem is my GF hates patchouli so I use it when shes not around. Hope everyone has a great day and a great shave!!
