  3. Thanks @RaZorBurn123. My birth year razor I posted about cost over the weekend. Got it for.... Oooh yeah you know. Much less than I expected and less than my max bid.

  4. Picked up a puck of Saponificio Varesino Felce Aromatica (Aromatic Fern) Shaving Soap off of eBay. I like fougre scents and SV is supposed to be just as good as MdC. Besides it was free shipping and less than retail. :)

That's the problem with ordering new shave bowls...you end up needing to order stuff to fill them.

    Another shot....:)

I just pressed the button on this Old NOS German Dorko DE....There was a flurry of bids thrown at it on the last five seconds but here it is....I got it from a UK Flea -Bay Seller for £15.00.... It has Dorko Solingen Germany on the box & Razierapparat Safety Razor No 10 P written on the bottom.....Other than that I know nothing
about it except that I was attracted to it for some reason.....I don't know much about DE Razors....:sad027:
I would be grateful for any information that you Guys may have to offer....:chores016:

  6. Dorko is primarily known for their straight razors, though they made DE razors and at least one model of shavette. Here's a picture of the shavette (not mine, this one is NOS).

If I remember correctly, Dorko's were made in Germany for the Australian barber market.

  7. Great looking razor. It has a very Apolloish look to it I think
  8. Yeah, I just liked the look of it....Dorko made some seriously high quality straights and this Wee Thing just drew me ....Its not exactly breaking the Bank either & I haven't got a any DEs except a Gillette New that my brother sent me up from London....He said he didn't connect with it....Well it connected with me when it was pulling my Whiskers out by the Roots.....Horrible Wee Bugger ....:angry019:

  9. Picked up a C-Mon A-4 brush for $9.99

This is how a cleaned and polished one, not mine, looks like:

  10. Be really careful if you sand on the brush. The aluminum is very thin and you can sand a hole thru it very quickly. Don't ask me how I know. ;)

  11. So how does it lather with a hole in it? ;)
  12. This is an example of the Apollo I thought it reminded me of: Link

  14. Ok, now I want to see some C-Mon's with holes in 'em ;)
  15. My C-Mon fail went into the recycle bin. Aluminum polish is OK, but avoid sanding IMO.
  16. Mine ended up in the trash.

  17. Starting to see why you don't see many of them in SOTD photos :)
  18. Well that's a surprize all the way to hell and back Sir.......If that's not its twin brother I am a Dutchman.....I got a bargain then.....;)
    Thanks for the Intel....:chores016:
  19. Put in an 'offer' on this Daveso Garanti - one of the earliest dual-comb DE razors and 'won' it.
Will be great fun to try out.
