  8. Thanks Guys! I just realized that the lighting makes the razor look like it might have a gold finish. It's nickel. I watched a video from Razor Emporium: How to and How Not to Clean a Vintage Razor. Great advice and it gave me the confidence I wasn't going to mess it up.

  18. On a somewhat more serious note people do seem to love these vintage thin blades.
    Here's a thread on the topic.
    It appears to be a carbon blade.

    Your blade seems to be from 1951 (but the patent numbers are different...so maybe not) :)
    (Once again, my deep insight and knowledge is really shining through here....)
