    Nice shave!
I think the Fatboy is better at higher settings, too.

    Cold River Thursday
Second superb shave with JdO today. The lather loaded and built even more easily today, if that is possible. I put a little hot water on the soap while I prepped, so perhaps that helped the lather and bloomed the amazing scent. I like complex scents, and this is on par with other artisan's offerings. My stubble had not fully recovered from yesterday's shave yet, and it was almost cruel to subject them to the Fatboy, but the resulting drama free BBS made it worth it. The balm is a perfect scent match and compliments the top notch post shave feel. I can see myself getting more soaps and aftershaves from CRSW.

    THURSDAY
My maiden voyage using this Japanese western-Style razor. This razor feels very nice in the hand; pins are tight, tang is slim with subtle lower jimps, and the thin, broad blade has a comfortably-rounded square tip.
It provides good audible feedback (no surprise there as it is a wide, full-hollow grind). Easy to manipulate/navigate this razor. Three passes plus some touch-up areas resulted in a near BBS shave.
    Have a great Thursday, all!

Back from VACATION shave! Love Harry Potter, great time in Orlando, rode everything, that was cool and or fast. Ok, now my first shave back home. Whipped up the Maca Root in my favorite mug with my Silvertip. My favorite Magic Wand is my Fat Boy. It's weight does all the work and it sings a nice toon with a Feather blade. WTG XTG on my face and neck on 5. ATG on my neck on 3. Nice and slick and with my FB on 3 for my neck I can buff a little for a DFS. Great cucumber smell with the WH, and then some soothing JB. After cleanup some vintage OS Lime from the 1960s. Abracadabra (POOF)

Still on vacation with a Mastro Livi Stainless Damascus Razor

Still on vacation and still suffering this incredible heat. Italy seems to be on fire this summer and it is pretty impossible to find some relief from this tremendous hot temperature joined to a quite oppressing humidity. I fortunately have a sort of relief by shaving, something I am doing with my Mastro Livi "Rasoio Italiano" made of artisan stainless damascus steel. This shave was also the occasion to try this new Felce Azzurra aftershave lotion I bought in a local market and, to tell you the truth, it did not impress me that much. The result was however very good, also thanks - of course - to the excellence of this razor and, let me add this, the smoothness and slickness of my shaving soap. The more I use this soap, the more I like it! I guess I have almost achieved my goal, that is making a shaving soap suitable for straight razor shaving - it can also be used for DE shaving, of course - and I think the formula and the making process I am using are almost meeting the idea I have in mind.
