I never asked my dad if he kept his razors, I called him the other day and asked. He said that he had a few and I could have them, wow. He is only 35 miles away, I will go to visit shortly. Mystery... will post pics

I purchased one of these today from a fellow TSR forum member for £50.00 posted with some blades....Its only been used s few times and boxed so I am delighted as this is a real bargain....My brother has one and he talked me into it yesterday.....Damn it....I just jumped into another Rabbit Hole....I was trying to resist this path as when I take something up I get Fanatical....There is a wide selection of blades for these including the popular Feather ...This is a new learning curve for me but I am sure I will get the hang of it with some shaving time under my belt...

I am waiting for Larry at Whipped Dog to get back from his vacation. I tried to order a day too late. I must wait until August 18 for him to return or find another supplier.

Threw out a bid of about 40% of the recommended price on one of those auctions that accepts offers...and, well, he accepted :)
Pretty excited about it. Always liked these old wood-metal brushes and I liked that this brush has a very vintage look to it - but no real damage. Actually it looks really neat and I might just reknot it and do very little else to it unless people that know a lot more about brushes than I do (so...basically all of you) would recommend something else.

It gets worse. I was polishing up my collection when my 14 year old son came in. I told him that all these will be yours someday. His reply? How much are they worth? Ungrateful snot.

Tough age. Mine just turned 23 and will be visiting this next week. I told him of my new affinity for vintage razors - he's keen to learn and we'll be shaving together this week. I hope to send him off with my first razor - a Gillette Tech.

Hopefully yours will come around as well, give him time.
    Cheers!

Ah, he's a good kid. He informed me the other day that he had a few whiskers on his upper lip and wanted to shave them. I went through the process with him and he said it seemed like a lot of trouble for a few hairs. I agreed and bought him a can of barbasol and a bag of disposable 2 blade razors. I told him to use them until he couldn't stand it anymore them come see me again.
