'Tis the season! My wife's tomato garden is loaded and soon we'll be up to our elbows in a wide variety of heirlooms and such… Toady's Honey-Do list: • put up new blinds on four windows • hung new towel rack in the boy's bathroom • Moved piles of clippings and old fruit from all our trees into the composter • actually found time to work on my razor orders….hard to find time these days! :whip:
Did laundry, picked up the dining room and living rooms, vacuumed, mopped the kitchen floor, tossed some dogs on the grill for my grandson and me. Nuff said.
Yeah, that's why I had to smoother the dogs with Dragon's Breath chili - made with 2 jalapenos, 2 habaneros, hot sausage. Mmmmm.... good! Had to get my strength back.
My tomatoes quit producing due to the heat, I just planted my fall tomatoes, probably a bit late. Hopefully I;ll have tomatoes in Oct and Nov before the first frost.
I made Potato Bacon Cheddar Tart. This crap is something only a man would eat and just thinking about it is enough to clog my arteries. Worst of it all, after I had eaten a portion I went back for seconds.
It was alright, I guess. But not worth the effort. Maybe if I used more cheddar? I assumed that 500g would be enough. The jokes on me, since I forgot that there is no such thing as enough cheddar.
Worked on about a dozen razors. Near completion on a custom job and took these eight Sheffield blades to the compounds on the buffer. Next step for all these is some hand-sanding & polishing… Blades (clockwise, starting top right): B.J. Eyre & Co. Late W.
