Thank you kind sir. It's certainly a YMMV thing but I find the razor fairly easy to use at this setting.

TOBACCO TUESDAY! PRE SHAVE: MUSGO REAL OAKMOSS RAZOR: GILLETTE BALL END TECH BLADE: BIG BEN BRUSH: EVERREADY 600 SOAP: RAZOROCK TOBACCO #1 POST: OSAGE RUB/ FLOID BLUE EDT Had a wonderful shave today! The RR Tobacco really explodes with scent once its lathered. Kind of on the sweet side but it doesn't have that tobacco cologne type scent. I tend to like both so its a win-win situation. I have a problem spot on my neck that never gets smooth unless I chase the baby. I did just that today and surprisingly without getting burned. This was my first time with the Everready 600 and it is a great brush. I tend to like the synthetics and I had no problem getting lather from the breech and it fans out very well. The Floid Blue was a good finish to a great shave. Hope everyone has a good shave and a great Tuesday!
Razor: Gillette 85 Super Adjustable "Black Beauty” (p2) 1970 named “The Black Pearl” Brush: Erskine Badger 1947 Birth Year Mug: Old Spice (late glass Mug 04) 1970s -1992 The last OS Mugs Cream: Cella classica 1899 Blade: Feather (1) Post shave: Thayers Cucumber WH, Jack Black balm, Old Spice original Shulton 1973 - 1975 Lantern Decanter AS So I whipped up the Cella with the Erskine, and off we go, for a nice summer shave. The Cella has a great almond scent, and gives a nice cushion. The Pearl gives a nice shave, and I'm just addicted to the Gillette Adjustables. WTG XTG on my face an neck on 5 ATG on my neck on 3. The Cucumber WH is a nice finish to this very smooth shave. After cleanup some JB, and some vintage Old Spice, that's nice. Ahhh. Stopped by Alabama on vacation, and this song always brings me back in the Time Machine, music.....
11Aug15 I love it when a plan comes together. Just when you have a few bad shaves, a good smooooth one comes around.

Shave of the day, menthol edition Pre- Hot shower, Anna and Claras bath soap Sandalwood Soap/cream- Mitchell’s wool fat PLUS 3 drops of TSD M-Bomb Brush- Turkish No6 boar Razor- WEBER polished head stainless steel Blade- Personna lab blue (2) Post- Cold water rinse, alum block, Proraso eucalyptus and menthol aftershave lotion PLUS 1 drop of TSD M-Bomb and Nivea sensitive cooling aftershave balm with 1 drop of TSD M-Bomb I have been testing blades and comparing, I’m comparing Gillette Silver Blue with Personna Lab Blue. I can actually not give one of them an overhand. Im gonna try GSB again next shave and see if I can decide which is better hahaha. I have been using the SAME setup for this blade trial and got a bit bored so I decided to spice things up a little with my TSD M-Bomb. Aaaaand WOW hahaha a very slick and cold lather provided with MWF and the menthol additive. The cold water rinses between passes really boosted the chill =D Personna VS GSB… Im not sure yet haha MAAAAYBE GSB. But I do know one thing though, I could buy any of them in bulk and be VERY happy with the shaves they provide.

Tuesday, August 11, 2015 (Late in the day shave) 2 hot towels Simply Beautiful Badger (big 'ol floppy thing) Cornhuskers Lotion Arko (face-lathered) I love this stuff more each time I use it! '66 Slim (7, 6, 6) w/Voskhod (2) W/X/A, touch ups Cold rinse, cold towel, witch hazel, Adidas Dynamic Pulse, Cremo Moisturizer I have to admit, I was surprised by the Adidas. I'm surprised I even bought it. It's cheap, and far, far from "old school." But I like it. SWMBO gets home in 30 minutes; she will decide whether it stays or goes. (I can't find a "fingers crossed" smiley face icon.)

Prep - Shower / Woods Of Windsor Cedar Woods soap / Pre-lather / 3 min steam Razor - Gillette Fatboy Blade - Sputnik Platinum Chrome (#2) Brush - Vulfix 404 handle / Omega 10810 Soap - Arko Soap & Cream / Glycerine After - Frozen towel / Alum & WH Mix Result - BBS Every time I use it, I always question why the Fatboy was ever replaced. It's about as good as DE gets never mind adjustables, and well worthy of its status. Nice comfortable shave with the Sputnik anyway, looking good for addition to the permanent rotation.
