1. I used my refund from ebay from my item that was bent and said it wasn't to pick up another razor!!

I don't know much about it but I'll be hunting info after the family gets in bed tonight.

  2. Found it. By my best guess its a 20's Gillette Milady Decolletee. Its not in terrible shape either I looked closer at the pictures on this one and I don't see any bent teeth like I saw after I went back and zoomed the pics on the last one after I got it here and saw them.
  3. I have a Palmolive shave stick coming from London!

A grand purchase of about $4

    LOL
  4. It is surprisingly a very good performer. It was my very first shave soap, I had trouble at first, but when I figured it out, I can't get a bad lather

  5. Looks like a travel razor =)
  6. Picked up my second Hardright brush. Made an offer on eBay that was accepted! It looks practically brand new (aside from the case).

The first one I got was my very first vintage brush purchase. Stiffest backbone of any boar brush I've ever used, and has never bloomed, leaving me to think that it must be set very deeply indeed. I wonder if this one will have as dense a knot?
  7. I made a trade and it looks like these two nice brushes will be arriving today.

  8. In another trade, I will be receiving this little GEM.

  10. This was a razor swap, but I do brushes, too.

  11. I have a TSD shop order pending. That's about it. Oh wait, I have my birth year/quarter Gillette Slim Adjustable on the way too.
  12. I'll be interested in hearing your thoughts on the SOC boar. I've been tempted and most reviews are overwhelmingly positive, but I've got this thing about wooden handles (not a hangup you share, obviously. :D). If it came in acrylic, I'd probably own one.

Edit: my resistance to wooden handles is pretty laughable, considering my fondness for wooden shave soap bowls. Ah well, it is what it is. :)

  13. I will be happy to let you know how I like the SOC. Your resistance to wooden handles is pretty laughable. Maybe you thing they are not as durable.
  14. Well, the blades showed up, but the seller took his time shipping the razors and they now seem to be taking a scenic tour all around Michigan. Perhaps They will eventually head my way...

In the meantime, I ordered a clearance tub of B&M Rhapsody and a bottle of Krampert's Frostbite, both from Maggard's. Ordered almost a week after I won the auction for the injectors. Which will make it here first?

  15. I know what you mean with the scenic route. I had a razor go into New York from India and its spent the last week touring the northeast I should get it today, I hope.

  16. Apparently I wanted to get more American Straight Razors today. The Spike is an eBay purchase where I was not a wantabee lowball playa and the seller took my offer. Its an 11/16 wedge grind razor. The Imp is from a member on here, and is in great shape.

  19. You buy very weird stuff =P
  20. I do? What's weird about a vintage boar brush and travel case?
