How long have you had it? I agree re splay; it has a lot of it. But mine is wonderfully soft after about a year of use. Softer than any badger I've ever used. It took about 4 months to really break in, though. But I very rarely face lather. Always a bowl or makeshift scuttle for me.

WOW.. okey I have not used it that long. Maybe it will get better in time. It works great for bowl lathering. I'm gonna keep it and use it with my cheaper creams as it NEEDS a lot of product to get "filled", if not then the knot just splits into 4-5 parts, if that even makes sense hahaha Could you take a picture of it from the top? I would like to "compare" knots =)

Razor: Gillette Slim (k3) 1965 (5) (3) (original case and blade pack with instructions) Brush: Stirling Synthetic 26/63 2015 Mug: Old Spice 1985 Cobalt Blue Cream: TOBS Grapefruit Blade: Feather (2) Pre shave: Tree Hut Shea body wash Mango Post shave: Thayers Cucumber Witch Hazel with Aloe Vera, Jack Black balm, Old Spice original Shulton 1973 glass cologne Stopper #3 Whipped up the TOB Grapefruit in a minute with the Sterling Nice slick cushion and I really like the scent. I really like the slim and next to my FB it is my go to razor. The heavy handle and head gave me a nice smooth shave with no pressure with a Feather blade set on 5. The Shea Mango for the pre-shave helped give me a nice no burn shave. My technique is getting better on my neck, especially with a slick lather and sharp blade on (3), so I can buff the area on the right side of my neck. The Thayers Cucumber Witch Hazel with Aloe Vera felt good on my face and that natural scent was nice and fresh. After cleaning my razor and a little spray of isopropyl alcohol to help dry the innards, I smoothed on some Jack Black, and then some vintage Old Spice, from 1973, ahhhh! Y'all have a good Friday......

SHAVE OF THE DAY PRE SHAVE: OCCAMS CRUSHED LIME RAZOR: GILLETTE TECH BLADE: DIPLOMAT PLATINUM PLUS BRUSH: ART OF SHAVING SOAP: LE PERE LUCIEN- CEDAR- PACHOULI POST: OSAGE RUB/ F&C- MUR Had a decent 3 pass shave today. It turned out very smooth but my face was red afterwards which I think was due to the blade. The scent from the LPL is amazing and the lather was not real dense but it was very slick and so far I am impressed with this soap. The F&C MUR has a scent that is hard to describe but I think I will get a full bottle in the future. Overall it was a good shave even though my face was red afterwards, there were no nicks and it turned out quite smooth so I cant complain. Hope everyone has a great shave and a great Friday!
