Thanks for your concern Chris, truly. Things have been busy. And actually, now that I have my own CT, I'm not sure how much time I have for communicating with those other than us in the bourgeoisie.
Just joshing with all that fellas. I just will wait a bit before I suggest my son participate on TSD, lest his image of me drops as a result!
Congratulations on spending the great time with your family! It is definitely the most important thing we can do! Also congrats on getting your son headed down the right road so he hopefully will not waste years and years on electrics or cartridges. Glad you sent him with some good gear, but even happier for the memories I am certain you sent with him. Like how you got your daughter involved. My daughter asks every time she comes over whether I have something new for her to smell. She and my fiancee are the ones that possess veto power over scents I use. I can understand being hesitant to get him on TSD, with characters like @Rufus T. running around . . . oh wait, I mean like @Bama Samurai and @NCoxSTL of course.
Grand Shave King? I have soooo many razors to learn about. Is that anything like the Phoenix I keep seeing this month? Are these known as 'Double OCs'?
OC is for ease in cutting longer growth. OC has little effect on aggressiveness, head geometry and gap/exposure hold sway over that. Phoenix is about like a slim on 7, but absolutely requires a low angle of attack to maximize the shave.
I'm with you. Make him unknowingly acquire solid techniques first. RAD is even better if one understands the razors they are buying.
