    8/17/2015 Menthol Monday!! Woo Hoo!!

    Prep: Hot shower with Neutrogena Face Wash with menthol, home made PSO
    Razor: Gillette Blue Tip, Imperial Razor Warranted Barbers Favorite straight razor
    Blade: PolSilver (1)
    Brush: Turkish #6
    Soap: Stirling - Margaritas In the Arctic
    After: Home made ASB, Osage Rub after shave
    Cologne: Gravity

    It is Menthol Monday and it is going to be another hot day. The #6 brush whipped up the MITA into a nice and cold lather. The Blue Tip and the Barbers Favorite did their jobs admirably. The Osage Rub and the Gravity were a nice finish for this 2 pass Darn Fine Shave.

    Somehow I skipped posting yesterday. Oh, well, today is another day. 3 passes and very smooth. I think I may like the Rapira Stainless a little more than the Rapira Platinum Lux. It seems just a touch smoother.

    I am always amazed at how subjective blades are. I like the Rapira Stainless but find the PL to be a bit smoother. Both a good blades to me though. Just shows that YMMV applies to everything wet shaving.

    WTG-XTG-ATG (adjusted angles for my beard)

    Catie’s Bubbles LTV today. Easy, thick, lather. Personna Med Prep still in the NEW SC. Great smooth, close, shave. I finished with CC Frozen Vetiver.

    I've had my iKon up for trade for awhile and nobody wanted it so I decided to use it again today and it's a stellar razor. The Vulfix is getting broken in nicely and is becoming a great face lathering brush. All the other products are top notch so today was a pretty great shave.

    Birthday Treat! I'm using all the things I like best! My toggle is a treat to shave with. It's just perfect, in every way, and beautiful. It's adjustments are tight and precise, and on 5 gives me a great shave. The adjustment only changes the blade gap, and not the blade angle, like the other Gillette Adjustables. The WD Silvertip whipped up thick lather, with the Castle. I really like this cream. Great cushion and no preshave needed. Very close 2 pass shave, perfect! Some Cucumber WH and after cleanup some Jack Black AS gel, then some Vintage Old Spice Lime, and all is good. Another DFS for my toggle. The extra weight and the great balance of the toggle make it very easy to just let the razor do the work, and enjoy the ride. A wonderful day!

    Ahhh... Fatboy on 5. Shave #6 on the blade. Still a DFS. I usually toss the blade after #4 (they're cheap enough)but decided to push this one. Also haven't had good luck beyond setting 4 on the adjustables.... Today was a good day.
