Well today I am taking the family out to the badlands. My wife has never seen them during the summer so it should be a treat. I'm excited to cart the camera out there!
Looking for answers and silent prayers. Thoes in law enforcement, fire, ems, or military will understand. What a crap taste (yes taste) of shift as a medic.
I've had a migraine for the last 3 days and ironically had an appointment this afternoon to be a part of a migraine drug study. Came home, took medication and slept. I feel human now. Around 8p when I woke up I went to Sportsman's Warehouse to pick up some basic items for my range bag. After about 15 years I'm going back to target shooting, something I've always enjoyed. One of the things I bought was eye protection. I got home, put them on, and.... there was a small scuff on the right lens. RIGHT WHERE I LOOK THROUGH. So, gotta return them tomorrow. Luckily it's on the way to the shooting range and I can take care of it tomorrow when I go shooting.
only the Lord knows the big picture. take your refuge in doing the best you can for those you serve, after you've done your best, there's no more you can do. thank you for your service. put it behind you, go on to the next call.
Beautiful day today. Thank you Lord for all you have done. Got word my car is ready to be picked up. I got to spend the morning with our adopted dog original owner and brought him a gift baskets filled with candy bars and some essentials he can use in the nursing home.
Well we had a blast in Drumheller (and area) yesterday. We went hiking around the badlands, got up close to lots of hoodoos, crossed a massive suspension bridge, and a ton of other fun stuff! I'm not too sure if there is a photo thread here...I couldn't find it anyway, so here are a few shots I stitched together, and developed!
Most excellent photos! Thanks for posting, they look great. There is a landscape thread over here: http://theshaveden.com/forums/threads/outdoor-photos-and-landscapes.44078/ that I'm sure would love to have yours added to it
Haven't done this in years but this Saturday I'll be going to Dolores park for the outdoor movie show. Fun, fun and some great views from there.
Today was hot with meeting after meeting after meeting. Tomorrow,s forecast is slightly cooler with meetings scheduled all day!
So after a year and a half of not working at all due to injury, I have gotten back into the workforce. 24 hours a week, 4 days, starting out slow. I decided to get back into shoe cobblering and leather work professionally. Helping out at a couple shops. Man I've been tired! It doesn't sound like a lot of hours and I used to work 50 hour weeks all the time. But my health still isn't the best so it'll take some time to get strength built back up. Just wanted to share with my favorite shaving buddies.
We have an outdoor theater called the Muny here in St. Louis MO that does Broadway shows. If you show up early the upper section is free. We just saw Hairspray there in July, it was humid but hey it was free
Feel so ill. It was the first music session after the summer holiday. The room is full of windows but they have to remain shut so we don't disturb the neighbours too much. We got hot very hot.we had to stop as the guitarist couldn't see the music cos sweat was dripping in his eyes. After an hour I felt so ill I couldn't continue. It was like playing in a greenhouse. Apart from that it was great to be back.
