SOTD '63 Slim on 6 Voshkod (1) Shavemac Americana prototype Truefitt & Hill Lavender Thayer's Rose Clubman AS I probably could've skipped shaving today after yesterday's horrific shave but I shaved anyway. My face is still pretty tender but I powered through with some of my favorite products. Skipping tomorrow.
Odin's Day: Prep: Hot shower, Neutrogena Invigorating Face Wash, TSD Jasmine Sambac preshave balm Brush: Simpsons 56 Best Badger Lather: Ginger's Garden Oakmoss soap Razor: RazoRock Bamboozled RAKE OC Blade: Bic Chrome Platinum (5) Passes: WTG, XTG (10, 11) Post: Cold water splash, Bloc Osma alum, Dickinson's witch hazel, Pinaud Clubman AS balm Cologne: Cashmere Mood (sample) After a couple of days not shaving, I was back at it today. As expected, the 56 had no trouble whipping the Ginger's Garden Oakmoss into an overabundance of lather, ample for 3 or more passes. Day 5 of the Bic, though, is starting to show some slight signs of roughness, so I didn't want to press my luck too much with 3 passes. As a compromise, I went ATG, rather than XTG, in the goatee area, where my facial hair tends to be the coarsest. DFS+ results.

I REALLY like it. The scents are wonderful. It's kinda soft, therefore doesn't last as long as a hard soap. That is my only complaint.
Razor: Feather AS-D2 2015 Brush: Jerusalem Olive Wood/WD Silvertip 24/48 Mug: Old Spice 1985 Cobalt Blue Cream: Jack Black cream Blade: Feather (2) Post shave: Thayers Cucumber WH, Jack Black Post Shave Gel, Old Spice original Shulton 1973 glass cologne Stopper #3 Locked in the Feather blade in the Feather and off we go to another great shave. Whipped up some great lather with the JB and the WD Silvertip. I wanted to see the difference between this one set at 48mm and my Rubberset 400 set at 54mm. Another nice 2 pass shave. Finished with the WH, and then some soothing JB. After cleanup some vintage Old Spice from the 1973. I'm going to set the Rubberset knot a little deeper. Have a good one y'all!
Prep - Shower / Woods Of Windsor Cedar Woods soap / Pre-lather / 3 min steam Razor - Valet Autostrop VC3 Blade - Feather FHS-5 Hi-Stainless (#2) Brush - Omega 20106 Soap - Straight up Tabac! After - Frozen towel / Alum & WH Mix Result - BBS+++++ As always, unbelievable results from the VC3 and Tabac. I got a skin tag mole type thing below my nose and for some reason, the single edge blades never take the top off it whereas DE's mostly do. As comfortable and smooth as it's possible to achieve!
8-19-2015 Hot Shower prep with Neutrogena for Men Invigorating Face Wash and for Art of Shaving Sandalwood for the other areas Razor - Birth Year Slim Adjustable (4) Blade - Voskhod (1) Brush - Plisson Lather - Proraso White Bowl - Fine Lather Warm rinse, Maggard alum block then cool rinse Finished up with Witch Hazel and Art of Shaving Essential Oil & Sandalwood After Shave Balm Voskhod appears to be a sweet blade in the slim. And it worked well with the later for a beautiful four pass to BBS. Sorry for the fuzzy picture:
Haha actually that's the ATT S2 head on the wolfman handle. The shave is great on the handle! I had James make this handle 15/90mm which is a little larger than stock. His craftsmanship is amazing.

Another fun-filled and frosty shave on tap for Thursday: Neutrogena Men Facial Wash Large Horsehair Barbershop Super Speed/Derby day 4 Stirling Frozen Tundra SS Gold Bond Moisturizer Osage Rub AS Brut Cologne Oh yeah, Stirling rules - these wonderful soaps are all I've been using for a while. Originally I had planned to shave with the MITA, but the heat and humidity are so murderous here that I need to go to a higher level of menthol, so I selected the Frozen Tundra which is second in freezing power to the Glacials. This soap's scent is unique and awesome, the lather is such a delight, and the menthol effect is strong, and I mean STRONG. The Gold Bond's so cooling as well, and the Rubby Dubby Doo is a terrific bona-fide face-freezer which I need at all times regardless of how the weather is.
SOTD 08.19.2015 Prep: Shower Razor: Gillette Super Adjustable (4) Blade: Voskhod (2) Brush: Omega 80080 Lather: Proraso White Shave Soap Post: Cold rinse, Alum, Witch Hazel, Gold Bond Moisturizer Molto bene! Another fine shave! Left the adjustable on setting 4 and it got rid of most of my stubble. I can't wait to see what setting 5 has in store for me.
