I picked up my first strop from Whipped Dog ('rich mans strop'). A bit slick and I did manage to nick it a few times.
I upgraded to an Illinois strop— a thicker, russian-leather strop with a much better linen component. Glen turned me on to that one. A good stiff (when new) solid strop that had good draw on both components.
You can get them new on Amazon. It's where I purchased mine—which, by the way, I'm currently selling in the classifieds (broken-in already!). :happy088:

It was a great time. We left a little early, as he was getting tired. He held out longer than I thought. He didn't fall asleep in the car until we were about 30 miles from the house (we are probably about 100 miles from Minute Maid Park). We both had fun, and dad ate too much food. I think a smorgasbord does aptly describe my night. It was definitely fun.

I managed to shave with my Feather AC SS today with no injuries at all I did one WTG pass and had a DFS.. I did a little ATG cleanup with my Red Tip and called it a day. I am going to graduate to two passes with the Feather AC next time. I am taking this thing slow and easy. I do like it.

A very nice, smooth, comfortable BBS shave. I did pick up a couple of weepers when I went over an area again after the lather had dried. Operator error.
2 Full passes: Pass 1 WTG on my face and XTG on my neck. First pass was very close, but nowhere near the first couple of days with this blade. Pass 2: ATG. At this point I had a near BBS shave. After touch up, I had the baby in hand. The Aqua Velva let me know I had pushed a little bit and gave me a good sting. Still a little bit of irritation where it looks like I may have been overly aggressive in my pursuit of the baby.

A very nice BBS shave from the Gillette 7 O’clock Super Platinum and the Fat Boy. I like this blade. I believe it will be in my top 10.

    30 day Focus - Day 22
MDC Lavender Face Lathered w/ TOBS Rose
Rapira Stainless Blade (Day 2 on blade, Day 4 on Rapira Swedish Stainless)
    Slim Adjustable set to 8
    3 passes

Yesterday's shave, combining MDC Lavender with TOBS Rose was so nice that I repeated it again this morning. Excellent 3 pass shave.

I found them to be slightly milder than the Pro's.

A little easier to use when learning to tame the Feather AC.

Prep: Hot Shower. Axe Energizing Face Wash Boost
Razor: Mongoose B3 Dr. Bomber Handle
    Blade: Feather Professional
    Brush: Stirling Synthetic
    Lather: MdC
Post: Alum. Thayers Cucumber WH. Gold Bond Ultimate
Aftershave: Folsom & Co. Black Powder
Great shave. Something that I continue to be mindful of is that I need to keep it at 3 passes only. Which can be difficult when I'm having so much fun. MdC is everything it's made out to be. The Mongoose is as smooth as silk. The Stirling synthetic is such a joy to use. I absolutely love F&C Black Powder. Today marks my 3rd year anniversary of wet shaving! It all started with the Edwin Jagger DE89dbl.

A great 3 pass near BBS shave this morning. I didn't try to chase the baby but just enjoyed the shave. Once dialed in Mystic Water is a truly great shave soap. Finished off with a splash of Myrsol F/Extra and I am ready for a relaxing day.
