Nice brisk shave on a nice brisk morning. Think we set a record low for the day. Down to 58 degrees. In SE Louisiana, in Aug, that's unheard of. Regardless, great shave and I'm ready world. Bring it on.

I've been traveling so haven't had much time to read and post, even skipped a few days shaving.

As much as I love using different razors in my collection, I believe I have found my "favorite". The Fatboy and Slim are working very well for me the last couple weeks and had very little irritation or nicks, if any.

    Another DFS.

    8/26/2015 Wool Fat Wednesday!

Prep: Hot shower with Neutrogena Face Wash with menthol, home made PSO
Razor: Merkur 37C, J.A. Henckels Friodur Inox 70 1/2 straight razor
    Blade: Gillette Silver Blue (2)
    Brush: Turkish #6
    Soap: Mitchell's Wool Fat
After: Home made ASB, Nivea after shave balm
    Cologne: Midnight In Paris

Welcome to Wool Fat Wednesday! The #6 brush whipped the MWF into a wonderful lather. The Merkur 37C and the Friodur knocked down the stubble with ease. The Nivea ASB and the Midnight In Paris were a nice finish for this 2 pass Darn Fine Shave.

    Have a blessed day!

    Cold River Wednesday
The first day of school went well, though I was still very tired from the concert the night before.

Day two has started off right with a great shave, as usual, with CRSW. I really like the post shave feel especially, and its easy to lather. I will buy more soap from them in different scents at some point.
The Fatboy did its job effortlessly, and my face is still smooth five hours after shaving. This was the fifth shave on this blade and it still felt great. I’m not pushing it any farther - new blade tomorrow.

    Prep: Van Yulay PSO
    Soap: CRSW Jardin d’Orange
    Brush: HIS lather monster
    Razor: 1959 Fatboy
    Blade: Voskhod (5)
AS: [Terra]Cotta Mint Zinger; CRSW Balm

    image.jpg Razor: Feather AS-D2 2015
    Brush: e-shave finest Badger
Mug: Old Spice 1985 Cobalt Blue
Cream/soap: Seifenglatt Shave Soap Barber Shop
    Blade: Feather (1)
Post shave: Thayers Cucumber WH, Nivea Men Post Shave Balm, Vintage Avon 1981 - California Perfume Co. Anniversary Bay Rum
Locked in the Feather blade in the Feather and off we go. Loaded up the Badger with some Seifenglatt, nice scent, and whipped up some good thick lather in my favorite Old Spice mug. A nice 2 pass shave, with some touch up on my neck. This razor is easy to get carried away with, so I have to be careful not to over buff an area, or I will pay. Finished with the WH, and then some Nivea for a change of pace. After cleanup some vintage Bay Rum from 1981. Just sailing into the mystic...

Lots going on today, had to put a dress uniform on for meetings and what not today, so I wanted to use something important and meaningful.

Prep: Hot shower with Nutragenia face scrub
Razor: Gillette Slim (3) Bit to aggressive this morning, yet no nicks
    Blade: Astra SS (2)
    Brush: Omega bore beehive
Soap: Stirling Executive Man ( smells great, bit hard to lather, first time using)
The Shave: Two passes and touch up. WTG, XTG
Post: AV Musk Splash :angry021::angry021::angry021: followed by some Niva face cream

learned: number 3 is a bit aggressive with only 1 days worth of growth. Stirling soap smells great last a long time, would love the AS in the same. Soap was a bit difficult to get a good lather (about 2 minutes), yet when achieved it provided excellent slickness and lasted for both my passes without drying. The Astra blades I once hated, but each time I shave with it now, i really enjoy it.

I use a slim on 3 for my neck. It's hard to let the weight of the razor do the work, or I also get some burn. Got pic of the slim for SOTD?

Yes I am still alive and well. Been dealing things too numerous to explain. I need to find my digital camera so I can post a couple of pictures. I also have a review I want to post. Yes I finally did shave last night in preparation for today. I used my Weber Razor, with a Wilkinson Sword Blade, shaving Soap was a Soap that I received to test for a friend. I need to send a review also. I would give this soap a 10/10 across the board. I did need to change blades mid shave.
Pictured below is the equipment I used.
