  1. August 28 Shave 18

    Second shave with the new razor. The second shave was a good as the first, I really like this razor: heavy, thick grind, smooth yet easy to manoeuvre. Three passes went great except for one weeper. 4th pass with the Lather Catcher to go ATG to finish with almost BBS. Apply the alum and except for the weeper very light irritation. It was so tempting to go for a clean up pass with this razor..... but ..... that will be next months focus.

  2. I am from Arizona. I have about ten of these, including one sold by the Fred Harvey company in the 1920's. All of mine are native made and antique. I like turquoise. I have finally hit the point in my career where I can't get away with wearing them or my cowboy boots to the office anymore.
  3. So I got curious and did a little figuring when I got home. I have saved roughly $100 on cart and canned goo purchases since I started DE shaving. Unfortunately, my calculator broke when I was figuring out how much I have spent on razors, brushes, soaps, creams, and after shaves, so I am unable to report how much this adventure cost me. But, I am sure my wife will be happy to hear about the $100 saved...
  4. I'm with you. I would be embarrassed to tell you how much I haven't "saved".
  5. Well, I look at this way, I was going to spend the money on carts anyway... so why not get something I want and enjoy rather than just throwing it away. ;) Heck, I can get a vintage razor and tuck of blades for what it cost for an 8 pack of Fusion blades. That's my story and I'm stickin' to it. :D
  6. I could buy 20 years worth of carts on what I bought.
  7. :happy088::sad027:
  8. I've stopped counting/worrying about how much I've spent. The 30 minutes I spend each day grooming is priceless. I tell my wife I'm doing all this for her! I wanna look and smell the best I can for you.
  9. Can I use that one?

  11. I want to know if it works. ;) I'm getting married next spring so I have to prepare the rationalizations now. :rofl:
  12. If you haven't staked out a large portion of a bathroom for your den, do this before you exchange vows. That way she will have to accept that she married you like this, and accept you just as you are.

    Let us know if that works.
  13. It works! If you guys hated shaving before with a cartridge or electric razor and shaved as little as possible, and now shave daily. Win! Better skincare, much better aftershaves, I do it all for you.:angelic013:
  14. Start small, slow and easy. I always get my wife's opinion on soap scents/aftershaves. Even though I already own it, she feels like she's involved with what I'm using. And she is. Like the time I had a cream that smelled like her grandmothers perfume, it's now with @Omelmad
  15. You guys want to look and smell good for Kerry's wife?
  16. It did not clog up his email address when he printed it? :D
  17. Have you seen these?

  19. I can't believe this thread tonight? What a bunch of enablers!! I haven't read this many excuses since my last Liars Convention! :eek:

    You're even starting to implicate your wives in all this! :shocked003:
