1. Waiting for me to arrive. Have been on vacation this week.

Non of my packages arrive before I left, so all kinds of goodies to play with when I get home. Including a new brush, or two, and some shave den soap.

  3. Sure, I feel a little bit dirty tonight. I have said I wouldn't buy the Rockwell 6S razor due to the QA issues they had...buuuut......ended up getting one for $50. Used just a few times and supposedly it's a "good one".

    We'll see...cautiously optimistic....

  8. I have a Whipped Dog Ivory 22mm handle, drilled an extra 10mm, with a silver tip knot ordered. I like short lofts and they are hard to find in standard brushes.

If I like it, I may order a WD synthetic in the same size.

I borrowed this image from Google images, I think it may be @Darkbulb 's
the auction site wouldn't let me download the image of the one I actually bought. but it's very similar. mine is in the wooden box with the directions and blades.

  14. Hey, grats on buying what I personally think is one of the best vintage DE razors out there. I did a write-up somewhere on the forum here if you want more of my ramblings about it.
It seems big and kinda clumsy at first - but when you shave with it it all comes together miraculously. It's on the mild side but produces a fantastic shave. I'm keeping mine for good.
Do post pics when you get it! :)

If I remember correctly - speaking to the adjustable aspect of the razor - 'the lower the number the more aggressive the shave' but not 100% sure.
  15. Well let me shamelessly direct you over here for my 'review' :)

  16. Enabler. :(
Someone has one on eBay right now. BIN $49.99 or best offer. Seeing as how the insert and instructions were missing, I generously offered $35.

    The seller counteroffered $47.

    PASS!

  17. I swear they used to be all over the place a year ago for 5-15 bucks. Now they seem to often start out at $75.
Sigh, I hope this wetshaving craze dies down so prices on vintage shaving gear will drop :D

  18. How do you like it?
Don't hear much about their EdT
  19. Cooper MonoBilts and Shake Sharps used to be cheap too.

A pass around and some good reviews will do wonders to the price. I saw a boxed Cooper MonoBilt with the wrong blades sell for almost $200 last month. Shake Sharps used to sell for $25-35. Now they tend to go for $50 and up.

Wetshaving forums are the bane of quiet collectors like you and I. *walks away whistling*
