Smooth shave
It's been a month or so since I used Diamond. It's quality lather helped set up my stubble for the third and last shave on this Personna blade. I'm looking forward to a new Voskhod tomorrow - just smoother and more forgiving. I finished with the last of CF Sherlock. It's a quality aftershave that I will replace at some point.

Mastro Livi RWL34, 9/8 Full Hollow, French Point​

I always try to keep in rotation all the straight razors in my collection and it is not an easy task. I admit I use Mastro Livi straight razors the most and the reason it is obvious to me: they simply are the very best shavers I own and nothing compares to each of them. I usually shave three or four times a week and in just one of them I use one of the many vintage razors of my collection, whereas the other times it is always a Mastro Livi straight razor. Including Sunday shave in which I always use a Mastro Livi. Today I opted for this stellar Mastro Livi RWL34, simply superb, reliable and always giving a super smooth shave. I coupled this RWL34 razor to my latest Mastro Livi "Pennello Italiano" brush which confirmed to be a great brush: it easily mounted the XPEC shaving cream while giving a smooth and delicate massage to my face.​

Any colder and I think I'd get pneumonia. The Glacial Spearmint soap delivered a ton of some of the richest, slickest lather I ever saw with an ungodly strong menthol sensation which I LOVE. The Glacial Wintergreen balm and witch hazel are two absolute must-haves for me. This shave was a total delight from start to finish. The Derby blade definitely earned its retirement!

 

I'm surprised you have any sensation in your face at all. . .

 

Lol I always feel strong menthol - let me tell you that this Glacial Spearmint soap can really wreak havoc on somebody who cannot tolerate this level of intense freezing. All the Glacial products, no matter what the scents are, Spearmint, Wintergreen, Obsidian, Lemon Chill have the same amount of menthol in them so they're all certified face-freezers. I love each and every one of them

A fantastic 3 pass shave this morning. With some minor touch ups on the chin, I ended up with a BBS shave. So far this razor is proving to be mild but very efficient. As usual, the TSD soaps were easy to lather and provided very good slick lather. Finished off with a splash of Fine L'Orange.

Smooth early shave this morning with the Kropp & MdC. Second consecutive day using a round-point razor. Quick n' easy... and a DFS, too!

The Feather blade locked in and off we go to another great shave. Whipped up some great lather with the TOBS Coconut and the Silvertip. I let the weight of the razor do all the work, for a nice 2 pass shave. I very rarely nick myself or even get a weeper, but with this razor I seem to be able to go with almost reckless abandon, with no ill effects. Another great shave, Finished with the WH, and then some soothing JB. After cleanup some vintage Old Spice from 1983. Gotta love the Spice Ship! Sailing away on a nice Sunday....

I threw together a dop kit for a short stay away from home. other than unfamiliar mirror angle I had a great shave. three passes with the birthyear slim and a new feather and I'm smooth as glass. the renewal has got me smelling fresh as new sheets.
