Eustace 13/16 stamped Bowler Stahl Soap Commander Passion mixed with Spiek creme Soap Commander Passion balm Todays shave was over the top. Thx to Jamie Mahoney for selling me the finest best shaving razor in my collection of 47 razors. The mix of Spiek and Soap Commander was a match made in heaven
Pulled it from the 'For Sale' pile—at least for this morning's shave. Lovely shave from a smooth, efficient big round-tipped razor.
First time using this razor in awhile. Surprisingly it was pretty smooth and I think most of my issues have come from the angle. I still have work to do but the alum wasn't as bad as I was expecting.

Forgot to post this here this morning…my day off so my daily schedule is in shambles… Still feeling the menthol chill of the added M-Bomb….
Handmade latigo strop Proraso red Old Spice Shulton mug Simpson special S1 best badger brush AOS sandalwood balm Clubman talc Clubman original splash Pre: astringent to remove oils from skin. Soak soap and brush in hot water. Strop: 50x on web. 30x leather. Squeeze excess water from brush and drain water from soap. (This makes soap softer) Lather up brush in mug and scrub lather onto face. (Yes I do both, mug and face lathering). First pass with SR, wtg. Roll blade around chin. Add water to brush and re-lather in mug. Add thicker lather to face Second pass: SR wtg again rolling blade over the chin. Wipe off excess lather and rinse. Pat dry. Apply TN Dickinson's witch hazel. Pat dry. Massage in small amount of AOS sandalwood balm Apply small amount of talc on back of neck and torso. Finish up with clubman original splash for the scent my wife loves. An example of a great shave in my opinion. Nothing beats the closeness and feel of a fine SR shave to start the day.
First shave using this vintage George Wostenholm & Sons gold frame back…a delicate razor with thin bone scales. A real pleasure to use! Finished it off yesterday with the typical Naniwa process (1k through 12k). Sticky keen edge on a thin, non-hollow ground blade. The razor has some miles on it (circa mid-to-late 1800s) but there are still plenty of good shaves to be had from it!
