Favorite Non-Gillette DE razor?

There can only be one. The Schick Krona...

 

For me it is my 2011 R41. It is my favourite razor.

I never found a Gillette DE that could deliver the BBS for me, all my favourite DE razors are modern except for my Barbasol floating head. It is out getting replaced.

 

All my DE razors are Gillette. I would like to try a phoenix. That's probably going to be my next safety razor.

 

Schick Krona - in fact that's my daily razor.

I purchased a Muhle R89 about three weeks ago and it's now my go-to razor. Before that I used a Merkur 34C almost exclusively.

 

I went through a phase buying vintage Gillettes. I like my little collection but I too get the best shaves from my modern razors. With $0.75 CDN to the US $1.00 I can't afford them anyway.

My favorite non Gillette razor is the Edwin Jagger DE89. Great close shaves and pretty too! Just don't drop it.

 

I've since changed my mind to the Barbasol Floating Head.

 

My Weber PH w Classic Handle, thankfully no waves, so it's become my go to razor

 

It has to be Pils.

 

I bought one of those DE Razors which that "Pawn-Fella" advertised. Not a bad razor, at all; for the price. It's the only modern-day razor I have. The rest are 50 years, & older!

 

It would have to be my daily driver: Merkur 34C, but a close 2nd is my EJ DE89L. Other than using my Schick adjustable occasionally, they are the only razors I use anymore.

 

No, I've never tried a Lutz. Would love to some day, though.

 

I would have to say my Rotbart Mond Extra raised flat bottom open comb razor is my favorite non-Gillette. It was a pre WWII model.

 

I'm a big fan of my Mulcuto slant cap.
