Tell me....is the Master's Bay Rum as "sticky"(tacky)as they say? It's on my list to try.

Is that the one that was described as being an Aqua-Velva clone?("If you like Aqua-Velva, you'll love this")

It's been a while since I used Masters but I honestly don't remember it as particularly sticky and I live in South Louisiana.:)

I'd imagine a fresh clean bodywash would prevent whatever "sticky" feeling there may be from Master's.

I don't find it sticky. There's a slight bit of tackiness, but that goes away as soon as it dries.

It doesn't get more basic than Master's Bay Rum. The ingredients are water, alcohol, bay oil, and coloring. It's very much a one note olfactory symphony.

Very good commentary, PlanofMan. When I'm through with my Stephan, I'll strongly consider going to Sally's for the Master Bay Rum.

originated in 1897....I like that part. But yes, I've enjoyed using it. Goes well with the Stephan shampoo, too.

Masters Bay Rum has a bay leaf type of scent without the clove. I like Stephans Island Lime a lot. I threw a bunch of menthol crystals in it to give it a kick. It is cheap and the scent lasts a while.

Masters Bay Rum is a classic to me. A giant bottle for $7 at the local Sally's. I don't notice a great deal of stickiness myself, but my face tends toward the dry side.

I bought a bottle of the Stephan's Island Lime a few years ago. I liked it well enough, but I tended to mix it with either Old Spice, or the Master's Bay Rum. I haven't bothered to reorder, but if I saw it on a shelf somewhere I'd pick it up.

Master Lilac Veg is a big favorite of mine. It's a sweeter initial scent that drys down into that barber shop powdery scent. None of the cat urine that some people complain about in the Pinaud version.
