Drinking some mead the in-laws brought me back from their vacation in Wales. Budweiser in the background for later
Kilkenny or Guinness. That was the question for this friday evening. I had trouble deciding so I had to look at the expiration date. I seldom drink beer, and I've had to throw away old beer before, so I think I made a good call
C.B. Jackson Bourbon and Coconut water. I do like coconut water with bourbon, it doesn't seem to go well with anything else to me. I also don't care for coconut water by itself. The first time I bought coconut water I threw it out after tasting it.
After recently indulging in as many IPA's as have been able to sample over the last couple of years, a fancied something a little different. I randomly, and for the first time purchased some whisk(e)y. Scotch. To be precise. So far I have tried a whisky Mac. ( scotch and ginger wine, in equal parts). Nice. But a little too sweet. So over the next few months I plan to sample some various scotches, probably neat, or maybe with a teaspoon of water. Any scotch experts here. Or are you all bourbon men/ woman. ( I might add, when I do have a drink, it's normally one, very rarely two, once or twice a week). So a bottle is going to see me good for ages.
Cutty Sark is probably the lightest blended scotch out there. If you want to go with a single malt scotch, Glenlivet and Glenfiddich are pretty mild, one is the best selling single malt in the world and the other is the best selling in the U.S., but I can't remember which is which. https://drinkdistiller.com This is a good site to look at whiskey ratings and notes.
Wonderful info. Many thanks. I was drawn towards the single malts, but will defiantly be willing to sample the blends too. I have seen a well priced bottle of Jura that stands out to me. To start with I'm defiantly looking towards the lighter smoother blends.
The site looks good. Thank you. When I eventually gained access. I mean.. who on earth writes the date mm/dd/yyyy. It took me ages to see why I wasn't being accepted. ️️️
Just recently cracked open a bottle of Sailor Jerry Rum. My favorite fall drink is called an Autumn Bite. 3 parts SJ rum 1 part lemonade 1 part black cherry pop (soda) Pour over ice and stir or shake well. Doesn't really taste like an autumn drink with it being close to 90 out but still delicious!
who on earth writes the date mm/dd/yyyy It's an american thing. We have to be different from the rest of the world, kinda like the metric system which I had to learn 40 years ago because we were on the verge of converting. I see metric less now in the USA than I did then.
