    Schick I2 razor
    Personna blade
    WD Silver Tip brush
St. James of London Mandarin&Patchouli SC
    Osage Rub/Witch Hazel w/aloe
St. James of London Mandarin&Patchouli cologne

1st use of the St. James of London products. Very nice indeed. The SC quickly produced a luxurious lather and the cologne felt great going on. The scent is very mild in both the SC and cologne but seems to linger quite awhile. Well pleased (so far) with these items. BTW, very nice shave and ready to go

    THURSDAY
    Day Two of Seven
Today was my second shave of week-long test drive of a large custom razor. Getting one shave out of the way lessened the mystery and some of my anxiety in using this Mastro Livi. Oh, I'm still getting accustomed toy the oversized scales and keenly-sharp damascus blade, by I'm a bit more confident this morning in my abilities. 30 light laps on the smooth latigo strop followed by three careful passes yielded a very smooth face with no irritation. I did, however, manage to catch the point on my cheek and earned myself a small thin bleeder. User error, of course. :o All in all, an exceptional shave using Cade for lather & finishing with a cool splash of homemade bay rum…
    Have a great Thursday, all!

Shower, Irish Spring Signature bar soap. Mint and Rosemary Shampoo.
    Pre-shave oil: Olive/TTO/EO/M-bomb blend
    Soap: TSD London Type
    Brush: Semogue Boar
    Razor/Blade: Parker 99R/Astra Platy (fresh)
    Post Shave: Ogalalla Bay Rum

First time using a pre-shave oil. I looked for castor oil around, but only RiteAid has it near me so far that I've found. Nearly $7 for a small bottle. So I'll keep looking or wait till I'm ordering something else to combine shipping. So... I grabbed the little bottle of pre shower scalp oil I like to use on Sundays. Rubbed a few drops in and proceed as usual. This mix is heavy on TTO, so was getting a bit of tingling around, and got a bit "Icy Hot" toward the end with the menthol battling the TTO...

    Good shave. Closer than usual.

9/10/2015 Single Edge September / Tabac Thursday!

Prep: Hot shower with Neutrogena Face Wash with menthol, home made PSO
Razor: Kamphe Bros Star Razor New Model, H. Boker straight razor
Blade: Gem PTFE coated SE blade (9)
    Brush: Vie Long Horse Hair
    Soap: Tabac
After: Home made ASB, Tabac After Shave
    Cologne: Tabac EDC

Tabac Thursday! The Vie Long brush whipped the Tabac into a nice lather. The Star paired with the GEM blade and the Boker did a nice job on the stubble. The Tabac AS and EDC were a nice finish for this 2 pass Darn Fine Shave.

    Have a blessed day!

    image.jpg Razor: Feather AS-D2 2015
Brush: Vintage Ever-Ready 300L with TGN Silvertip 18/51
Mug: Old Spice 1985 Cobalt Blue
Cream/soap: Seifenglatt Shave Soap Barber Shop
    Blade: Feather (2)
Post shave: Thayers Cucumber WH, Nivea Men Post Shave Balm, Pinaud Clubman AS

Locked in the Feather blade in the Feather and off we go. Whipped up some good thick lather with the Silvertip in my favorite Old Spice mug. A nice 2 pass shave, with some touch up on my neck. This razor is easy to get carried away with, so I have to be careful not to over buff an area, or I will pay. Finished with the WH, and then some Nivea for a change of pace. After cleanup some Clubman. Y'all have a good one!

I'm normally a DE guy but figured I need to use my SEs once in a while. Definitely more audio feedback. I did 3 passes because it sounded like there was more to cut still. I usually do 2 passes and a touch up with DE. The blades I got at the antique store, but looked newer than old so I bought them.. Maybe I need some actual NEW injector blades.

The aftershave Crush came in my last CM box. Not sure what to say about it. No alcohol so no stinging, so that's good. But it goes on like lightly scented water.

Overall another no nick, no scrape, irritation free DFS.

Tried out this No Name Badger Brush, very Scritchy. And this is one of my favorite razors. A New Norfolk Head and Heavy Tech Handle. Used Pol-Silver and Clubman Pinaud Vanilla to finish.
