10sep15 I'm normally a DE guy but figured I need to use my SEs once in a while. Definitely more audio feedback. I did 3 passes because it sounded like there was more to cut still. I usually do 2 passes and a touch up with DE. The blades I got at the antique store, but looked newer than old so I bought them.. Maybe I need some actual NEW injector blades. The aftershave Crush came in my last CM box. Not sure what to say about it. No alcohol so no stinging, so that's good. But it goes on like lightly scented water. Overall another no nick, no scrape, irritation free DFS.
9/10/15 - On the Road again! Tried out this No Name Badger Brush, very Scritchy. And this is one of my favorite razors. A New Norfolk Head and Heavy Tech Handle. Used Pol-Silver and Clubman Pinaud Vanilla to finish.
Thanks again sir... Really appreciate it. I'm really enjoying it more everyday since I started about 3 weeks ago.

Thursday, September 10, 2015 Mr. Glo Preshave soap iKon Short Comb Voskhod #1 Simpson Classic 2 Best Proraso Blue Cream Alum, Unrefined Shea Butter TOBS Jermyn St. Aftershave Brooks Brothers 1818 On the road in Vermont. Tonight's shave was an outstanding. BBS on two passes, plus clean up. The iKon Short Comb gave me an outstanding smooth shave with the Voskhod Teflon coated blade. The Simpson Classic 2 is an outstanding travel brush. Finished up with healthy spritz of TOBS Jermyn St. Since it's Date Night tonight a little splash of 1818. Heading for the Longtrail Brewery, a local craft brewery in Bridgewater corners, Vermont. Hope everyone had a great shave today! Woodstock Inn, Woodstock, Vermont
10/09/15 Prep - Shower / Woods Of Windsor Cedar Woods soap / Pre-lather / 3 min steam Razor - Gillette Ball End Tech Blade - Personna Lab Blue (#4 and out) Brush - Omega 20106 Soap - Arko / glycerine / mental crystals After - Frozen towel / Alum & WH Mix Result - BBS Another phenomenal result tonight for the Lab Blues. I think I've given them a good test between Slim Adjustable, Rocket HD, NEW LC and now the Tech, so this is definitely added to the permanent rotation. I really wasn't expecting that a blade made outside of Russia, was going to be everything I was looking for in a blade. They could probably last longer but this was a trial so I'll see how long it lasts when I get around to using it again.
Razor: Valet Auto Strop Model "C"- 1935-40/ Gillette 1958 TV Special(3) Feather blade) Blade: Valet New Process (3) Brush: Frendrihen Silver Tip Badger Faux Horn Handle 22/49 Soap: Captain's Choice Sandalwood A/S: Captain's Choice Sandalwood Day 10 Another great shave with the Valet Auto Strop Razor. Doesn't really make sense to add a day to the Valet New Process as you strop it after each use. Sure do like Captain's Choice products. 2 Passes with the Valet and a cleanup with the Gillette. Weather is starting to cool.
Thursdays shave I learnt today that Techs are different. I used my new tech today and it's not only the handle which is different to my ball end tech but the head as well. I thought all techs were the same. This razor is easy to use as it is so light. It won't replace my pils as my favourite razor. However it is fun to use. I am having trouble identifying this razor as there are no markings at all on the Base plate. Very odd. Razor - Gillette (Aluminium, I think) Tech Blade -Gillette Silver Blue Brush - Plisson synthetic Lather - D.R. Harris Windsor Aftershave - Nivea Cooling Balm Here's some more pics of the razor. Anyone know what it is?

Friday's Dove Men Face Wash Arko Stick Shave Soap Jayaruh #18 Silver Tip Schick J2 Personna SS CWR, Asma Alum Block Thayers Lemon WH Aqua Velva The Arko Stick Shave Soap face-lathered well with my Jayaruh #18 Silver Tip Badger brush. Two passes with my Schick J2 razor and a Personna SS Injector blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, alum block, and a final cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayers Lemon WH and then Aqua Velva after shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
Friday's action will be like this: Stirling Pre-Shave Soap Large Horsehair Barbershop Super Speed/Derby day 5 Palmolive Menthol SC Gold Bond Moisturizer Osage Rub AS Old Spice Cologne As promised, no Glacial soaps for my Friday shave, however I wanted to try out this sample of Rod's pre-shave soap which apparently has some very good reports. It's been quite some time since I've used my Palmolive Menthol cream, so I selected it and I'm glad that I did. It always delivers generously on the fresh, invigorating minty scent and super-rich lather with a terrific menthol punch which I find so nice. The Gold Bond moisturizer, together with the Rubby Dubby Doo make the end of a shave a chilly pleasure! To all, a wonderful weekend in advance!
SHAVE OF THE DAY RAZOR: GILLETTE SUPER SPEED FLAIR TIP BLADE: POL SILVER (6TH SHAVE) BRUSH: ERSKINE A-100 SOAP: TTFFC FORGED POST: OSAGE RUB/ T&H SANDALWOOD BALM SCENT: FLOID BLACK Had a pretty decent 2 pass shave today. Not too sure if I like this brush or not. I believe it has the original knot, and the only problem I have is that it doesn't hold a lot of product. The T&H sandalwood balm smells like it is unscented so I am glad it is just a sample. On a positive note, it does feel nice on the skin and doesn't burn. I love the scent of Floid Black which was a great way to end the shave. Hope everyone had a great shave and a great day!
