6/8 Torrey Cade "old" French horn brush (badger) Nice shave today. The old brush has more life left in it than you would think. Have a good one.
Your "Spice is nice" quote reminded me to dig out the two vintage lighthouse decanters (ID 3780) I bought on vacation. The scent reminds be of my grandfather every wiff I get.
Planned Friday SOTD Schick Type F razor Schick blade New Forest Tubby silvertip brush Myrsol Masaje Antesol pre shave Mitchell's Wool Fat shaving soap Vintage Old Spice aftershave This will be my first shave at home since Sept 10th and although I had a great travel kit, it's nice to be home. I will be finishing off with some vintage Old Spice (1974-75) that my wonderful wife found at a flea market while on vacation(I walked right past it).
Shave of the day Pre- Hot shower, Jumping Juniper shampoo cake from Lush Soap/cream- Taylor of old bond street Sandalwood Brush- Omega S-brush Synthetic Razor- WEBER polished head stainless steel Blade- Gillette Silver Blue(2) Post- Cold water rinse, Humphreys witch hazel, Aqua Velva Ice blue aftershave lotion and Nivea sensitive cooling aftershave balm 2 pass shave. I got some irritation from last shave so I just did 2 WTG passes. Comfortable shave, but maybe not the closest. I think I judged the GSB blades a bit to quickly… I thought they were the best blade I tried so far but Im finding, they were not that great. Hmm, Im gonna try them with MWF, maybe its the creams fault. WH is a nice addition to the den. I dont get the WH tingling some of you mention, I wonder why.. Aqua velva is a really nice finish to this traditional wet shave. The S-brush is a really REALLY nice brush. I do need to dial it in a little, i have only used it twice =P I just need to learn how much water to add, I started out a little to dry today. But I did get some nice lather eventually =)

I'd prefer to morning shave. I recently picked up a new flavor from Crusella, to me it smells like sweet lemon candy. so today I matched it with the lemony-ness of arko. they paired fairly well. three passes with the cadet, smooth and comfy. hope y'all did as well, or better.

Razor A: Ever-Ready SE 1914 Razor B: Scimitar Bluebeards Revenge Blade A: GEM (1) Blade B: Feather (4) Brush: Orange and Black Handle- Made in Switzerland- Boar (I think???) Bowl: KnockOut Shave Soap: Jack's Soap A/S: Lucky Tiger Day 25 Had to purchase a Ever-Ready 1914 as mine had some structure issues that would allow the blade to seat properly. Sure glade I did. The new to me 1914 provided a two pass BBS. Probably one of the closest shaves I have ever had. The Scimitar Bluebeards Revenge did a great cleanup. I don't see many if any of the Bluebeards Revenge in peoples inventory at TSD. It's a very good razor that is more aggressive than many of my other razors. Jack's soap lather's up very well even with this old brush. Lucky Tiger is Lucky Tiger, and my go to A/S.
I'm still waiting for someone to post some shower photos. This is after all the Shave OR shower thread
Funny, I've always wondered why it's called that too. I, for one, am glad nobody here does though. Unless we're doing it to include the fairer sex, and then I might be for it
I read where Lucky Tiger is described as having little fragrance, with the focus being on smoothness. Would you agree to that?
