Yup I couldn't agree more. Am in the same process right now, in fact in vacation in between the old and the new home and am going through hobby withdrawal symptoms

LOL. That's what happens when you think "Hmm...I'll be running out of blades soon. Oh, so many options! Let's explore the information super highway!" and it goes from that to "Well, here's my last blade, and I am still deciding if I want either that 100 pack of Astra's or Derby's" to "Oh snap, the last blade is dull!" One AD that I never really latched onto was acquiring blades. Soaps, razors, aftershaves, yes. Not so much blades.
6/8 vintage T.I. Tabac homemade boar I didn't really need a shave today and probably won't need one tomorrow but...... it was a great shave anyway.

WEDNESDAY Smooth shave with probably my favorite razor in my collection— a $20 antique store restoration. This Wosty is one the few razors I use that hasn't drawn blood, despite countless shaves with it and the large square-point blade. I just love the weight and style of this blade. It just feels right in the hand. Have a great Hump Day, all!

30sep15 Used my newly re-knotted brush today.. TGN Finest Badger in an ER100. Very nice! Full of lather, held its shape as I worked it on my face, not floppy and good feel. I will admit, it is contradictory to use the Arctic Hydra and Bay Rum but one is felt during the shave and the other after the shave and into the day. Results are a DFS.
I heard Glenn Beck Advertising "Shave Secret," on the Radio, yesterday. I use it, occasionally, w/very good results; if I let it 'soak-in,' for 15 min/more! I've also been dissatisfied with it, on occasion? Is there a consensus, herein, concerning Shave-Oil? I have made my own Shave Oil, too...with much the same results. I understand the VARIABLES....Razors...Blades; etc... But; I'd like to read of other's "Shave-Oil" experiences. (Or; is this ANOTHER "Here We Go Again" thread?) One thing I've noticed: If, after using Shave-Oils, you don't 'wash your face' before applying After-shaves &/or Colognes...;the over-all 'lingering-affect' of the After-Shave lotions fades VERY fast! ( Well, maybe it's just ME!)
