    OCtober - Trick or TREET
    October 6

    Razor - Edwin Jagger DE89l
    Blade - [IMG](3)
    Brush - BoS Omega 10066
    Soap - Mitchell's Wool Fat
Post - Cold Water, Alum, Nivea Original

Final day on the Trig and it's a good thing. This blade pretty much died overnight sitting on the shelf. The drag factor was quite a bit worse than yesterday and I wouldn't want to push it to four shaves. Not a bad thing, necessarily, but the King was the same way so maybe Treets are three and out blades by design. Anyway, the BoSFat was the usual fantastic lather, three full passes to a DFS, but I've had better finishes. All in all a good shave, and the Trig is a TREET not a trick overall. I'll just make sure to note that it's a two shave blade and done just to avoid the letdown on day three.

Today is an important day, by the way, because it's the day before the most important day of the year. Well, ok so it's not that important but..... Tomorrow I finally get to fully open the box @Rufus T. sent me last month and end the mystery. Cake and ice cream for everyone tomorrow on me!

image.jpeg Razor: Gillette Goodwill #162 1934 (4 corner positioning posts)
    Brush: Vintage Ever-Ready 675 badger
Mug: Old Spice 1985 Cobalt Blue
    Cream: Truefitt&Hill Grafton
    Blade: Feather (1)
Post shave: Thayers Cucumber WH, Jack Black Post Shave Gel, TOBS Luxury AS

This is my other Goodwill and it shaves me like my LC and like the LC you have to watch the angles, for a smooth shave. Loaded a Feather blade, and checked the alignment. The Ever-Ready brush has the originally knot and whipped up a nice lather in no time. Got a nice two pass shave with some touchup on my trouble spot on my neck. Warm water rinse and pat dry. Some WH and after cleanup and a shower, some JB balm. Finished up with some TOBS Luxury AS. Y'all have a good one!

Nice FB, but that date code would make it a 1972. They only made them for 4 years so that puts it about 10 yrs past the last date they were made.

60 yo newbie’s intro to traditional shaving. (Week 21 AC*)

OC October - This month I'll introduce myself to my OCs.
    Gillette New LC
    Gillette Goodwill
    Standard Safety Razor OC
    Schick Type C1 OC
    ImageUploadedByTapatalk1444151818.697091.jpg
    Hot Shower, Morning Shave
    Soap: Cella
    Brush: Omega Pro 48
    Razor: Gillette New LC
    Blade: Voskhod (1)
    TSD Witch Hazel
    Aftershave: Proraso Green

Last week I used a 7 O'Clock Blue and had 5 great shaves in the New LC. So with my last remaining shaves before switching to the next razor, I will try out another blade in it.

    Two-pass shave (XTG, ATG).

1st pass - Very smooth, good feedback, really nice reduction.
2nd pass - Very efficient, more feedback, few repeat strokes.

A completely satisfying shave! Smooth and clean face all the way around, with no irritation. Excellent first shave with this blade!

Autumn is my favorite season of the year.
Among the many reasons - the Fall Classic!
    Play ball!

    PREP: SHOWER/ NOXEMA FACE WASH
    RAZOR: GILLETTE SUPERSPEED FLAIR TIP
    BLADE: SUPER-MAX SUNRISE (2ND SHAVE)
    BRUSH: OMEGA S SYNTHETIC
    SOAP: TFS TOBACCO VERDE
POST: CVS BRAND AV/ REEF POINT ADMIRALITY BALM

Had a good 3 pass shave today. Nicked myself on my bottom lip, but overall it was a nice refreshing shave. The scent of Tobacco Verde reminds me of fresh laundry and is a nice clean scent. No problem making a slick lather and very quick loading time. Have been very impressed with the RP balm and it has a nice cooling effect from the menthol. Hope everyone has a great shave and a great day!!

    ram57 Don't Open til Christmas

During my lunch I remotely pulled up my Excel Spreedsheet and confirmed it is a 1960 3rd quarter. Have 148 shaves on it now and have owned it 3 years, re-plated two years ago. Haven't seen a 5th quarter Gillette so they must be extremely rare. ;)

Good shave, but for the second time in a row, a chunk of the Barbasol came out before I was finished squeezing the can. Maybe I'm not shaking it enough????

    Blade: Voskhod Teflon Coated (1)
Brush: WDC-4 Silver Tip Butterscotch Handle (VIG) 24/67
    Bowl: Yokohama Studio
    Cream: Proraso
    A/S: Lucky Tiger
    Day 6
One of, if not my favorite razors with a Voskhod blade, which is the first time I have used this manufacture. Added a little menthol crystals to the bowl before adding the cream. I think I said before I used a tablespoon of hot water to the menthol, but is a teaspoon. Excellent 3 pass shave tonight. It will be interesting to see how this blade holds up over a week.
