Welcome to TSD. I didn't vote for either razor suggestion. They are both great razors. But my suggestion would be to pick up a vintage Gillette...you can't go wrong with a vintage razor like a Superspeed, or a Heavy Tech, or a Slim or Fatboy!!
Glad you landed here. You'll find great comradery, information, and laughs as we enjoy and share shave info. I purchased both the EJ and the 34c at the same time. I love them both but use the EJ more often. I use it as a travel razor because it's a three piece and packs easily. But you can't go wrong with either. Spent a week in Caribou many years ago. Beautiful state, Maine, but to cold got my blood.
