Atta Boy....A Good Man knows how to show his lady a good time! Sounds like a great trip! Enjoy every minute!
The winters in Detroit gave me the desire to move South. Working 2nd shift and having to scrape the ice off my windows in order to go home was no fun! My brother still lives in Plymouth. He gets to do the ice scraping in the family now!
But it's far more dangerous driving in the snow here in Georgia than up north. I grew up here, but I feel like I can drive alright in winter weather. Most people here panic if they see 2 snowflakes in the same day and don't have any idea about how to control a car on snow and ice.
I'm one of those people. I grew up in FL so these NC winters are hard on me. I hate driving between Oct and Mar.
Congrats. You have the OC bug for sure. I completely understand since OC razors are my favorite DE razors.
10/08/2015 Razor – Wolfman OC with Dr. Bomber handle Blade – Feather (2) Brush – Romera Olivewood Synthetic Lather – B&M Latha Post - Witch Hazel & Floid Black Sample A fantastic 3 pass BBS shave this morning which is a rare occasion on work days. The Wolfman OC is very efficient but also so smooth even with a Feather blade. The Romera Olivewood (thanks again Mark @Boojum1 ) whipped up the Latha with no effort. I am not a fan of the scent but the performance of this soap is first rate. Finished off with a Floid Black from my sample pack. I hope everyone has a great Thursday.
I am back from my trip, and skipped a couple of days in posting. I am not sure how many posts I have to read, but it appears to be a lot. Here are the past two days of shaves. AS I mentioned, I used Schick C3 while on my trip, and I have to say I just love this razor. It is so comfortable, more so than the Type G I used most of last month.
OCtober Focus Day 8: Homemade PS Oil Stirling Synthetic Brush Mitchell's Wool Fat Phoenix Dbl OC Stirling Unscented PSB Skin Bracer Back to OC razors, and I picked up my Phoenix Dbl OC. It was just like I remember, and with a new Feather blade, it provided a nice, smooth shave. The Wool Fat was also fantastic as normal, so I am fully ready to start my Thursday.
Sorry I've been MIA again. 10/15 tax deadline has me working too much. My October focus on my Old Types (starting with the Single Ring 102) started out really nice. After 2 wonderful shaves at the beginning of the month now I'm struggling. I think the "window" for the perfect angle on this razor is very small and I've been missing it. The shaves aren't all that close and my face screams when the AS goes on. I did switch from 7 O'clock Blues (from RufusT) to Astra SP's. Noticeably rougher, but the Astras have always been my "go to" blade. I've switched up soaps (TSD, Stirling, RazoRock) with the same results. Unfortunately I need to shave 7 days because of work so I can't give my face a rest. I'll keep trying. Any suggestions?
SOTD October 8, 2015 Prep: Hot Shower. Axe Energizing Face Wash Boost Razor: Mongoose B3 Dr. Bomber Handle Blade: Feather Professional Lather: Italian Barber Rosa di Bossolasco Brush: RazoRock Plissoft Post: Thayers Cucumber WH. Gold Bond Ultimate Aftershave: Folsom & Co. Capri Oh so nice. The Mongoose is a set it and forget it kinda razor, my shaves are consistently good. This IB croap is a bargain at $4.99, great lather, the scent is rose and citrus. I'm still on the fence with this Plissoft.. Never let the things you WANT Make you forget the things you HAVE
