It reminded me I haven't used my mine in a very long time. I think Jabonman Coco will be in my line up tomorrow.

I spent most of my day polishing this copper set that SWMBO won in an online auction. I'm lucky that I still had enough feeling in my hands for a great shave.

The Merkur 39C destroyed the 3 days of growth with ease. The stage was set by B&M Lavanille with some added slickness from the Lavender/Mint PSO (thanks Guy).

I hope you gents have a good one.

Nice looking photo and nice copper set she has there. But my question to you is why stop with just the copper. You should have pulled out your razors and given them a shine over. :D

Tried my French OC Gardette this morning for the first time.
I ended up with a close, clean shave but the razor did feel a bit overly aggressive and the shave wasn't quite as comfortable as I would have liked for it to be.
Not bad - just not great (based on one shave of course..).

The vintage Colgate soap has, on the other hand, proved to be a stellar addition to my den.

LOL...that was last week my friend, and the "real" reason why I picked up some metal polish. I cleaned up my straight before I sent it off to get honed.

Once we settle into the new place, I'm going to commit to 30 days straight.

Nice Dubl Duck. I was rubbing it in a little as I had to polish my copper Turkish coffee pot on Sunday so I went ahead and polished my three Aristocrats, Rocket HD 500 and my Cobra that I used today. Now 30 more razors to go........

    Friday's
    ZCOLDWATER.jpg

    Dove Men Face Wash
Van Der Hagen Deluxe Shave Soap
    Jayaruh #1 Silver Tip
    Gillette NEW LC/Micromatic Bullet-tip * 1947 BYR
    Personna SS/GEM Stainless
    CWR, Asma Alum Block
    Thayers Lemon WH
    Pinaud Vegetal

I am switching to my Gillette NEW LC for the next week. This NEW was a Milady, but I am using an OT ball end handle with it instead of the original handle. I love the way this razor shaves.

The Van Der Hagen Deluxe Shave Soap face-lathered well with my Jayaruh #1 Silver Tip brush. First pass with the Gillette LC NEW followed by second pass with my Micromatic Bullet-tip razor and a GEM Stainless Single Edge blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, alum block, and a final cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayers Lemon WH and then Pinaud Lilac Vegetal after shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

    Friday's planned action:

Neutrogena Men Facial Wash :love055: :love055: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily:
    Large Horsehair Barbershop
    Super Speed/Derby day 5
Gillette Menthol SC :love055: :love055: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily:
Lucky Tiger AS Cream :love055: :love055: :love055: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily:
Aqua Velva Ice Blue AS :love055: :love055: :love055: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily:

This is the set-up I'm sticking with. You guys know I never go two days in a row without using menthol, and I think this selection is great. The Gillette Menthol cream smells nice, gives plenty of good lather, and is pretty darn cooling. It's true that I get better skincare from my Palmolive Menthol cream but this stuff is still good enough for me. I'm very impressed with the Lucky Tiger a/s cream's menthol effect and skincare, not to mention the scent. Viva Aqua Velva Ice Blue! ;) :D

A great weekend to everyone in advance! :)
