Happy Thanksgiving Day to all in Canada! Menthol Monday: Neutrogena Men Facial Wash Large Horsehair Barbershop Super Speed/new Derby Stirling Glacial Wintergreen SS Stirling Glacial Wintergreen AS Balm Barrister & Mann Arctique AS Aramis EdT Oh boy, anyone who's a menthol maniac like me would love this set-up. The Glacial Wintergreen soap is the ticket for you if you want to freeze and get wonderful lather with awesome skincare and protection against dryness and irritation. The matching balm feels the same way and does it ever moisturize well. Barrister & Mann created an aftershave which could well be the coldest ever on Planet Earth - the Arctique has a menthol effect which I can only handle once a week!

I have the last picture that was ever taken of her, it's a funny picture of her holding a large bowl of Green Salad . My Aunt found it in a box and sent it to me. Enough of my ranting. You all have a great week and Happy Thanksgiving Day to all of our Canadian Members. Also to all of you Swab Jockey's aka Squids "Happy Birthday"

Ada's Soap Week I have one soap from Ada's - Sandalwood. It provides excellent lather and a light scent. I love this teacher mug I found in an antique store a while back. Der Futur made quick and comfortable work of my stubble. I finished up with Cologne Russe. Prep: WSP Matterhorn PSO Soap: Ada's Sandalwood Brush: HIS Razor: Der Futur Blade: Voskhod (2) AS: B&M Cologne Russe

It was RazoRock One-X/RazoRock One-X, and DFS+. This AM's lather was just as nice and protective, but I was probably a little rushed in getting to it due to a midterm today. As a result, it didn't get the same chance to soften my whiskers as it normally would have, and there was a bit more tugging. Still, no bloodshed or irritation, with DFS results for two passes.

30 day focus - Day 12 Fat Boy set to 7 Sputnik Blade MDC Face Lathered - Stirling Glacial Obsidian added on third pass 3 passes I have an awfully hard time shaving without hurting myself while using a strongly mentholated soap. Somehow, all my technique seems to leave when I apply a heavy menthol. But, seeing that it was Menthol Monday, I decided to add some Stirling Glacial Obsidian into the mix. After my second pass I rubbed the puck of Stirling on my face and worked it in with my brush. Since my last pass is always very light, I was able to avoid the usual nicks, cuts and weepers that I get through my own fault when using menthol. It turned out a great shave. I have gotten comfortable with the Fat Boy on 7 and plan to move it to 8 for tomorrow's shave.
SOTD October 12, 2015 Prep: Hot Shower. Axe Energizing Face Wash Boost Razor: Gillette Old Type Blade: Personna Lab Blue Lather: Vintage Williams w/a hint of menthol and a lot of Old Spice! Brush: RazoRock Plissoft Post: Thayers Cucumber WH. Gold Bond Ultimate Aftershave: TSD Iced Subzero WOW! The Vintage Williams exploded out of the mug, I'm so impressed by this method. Fantastic glide, cushion, scent. Excellent shave. Excellent. Never let the things you WANT Make you forget the things you HAVE
Damn, my eyes teared and my nose ran for a while because you can say I almost OD'd on the menthol. The Glacial Wintergreen soap clobbered me with such a freeze, so did the matching balm, and the B&M Arctique nearly numbed me. (I LOVE that feeling!) What a nice shave this was!
I had planned on using Stirling Cool this morning until I saw your line up using the Glacial Wintergreen. I had to swap after that, and ended up shaving with watering eyes and running nose. It was fantastic.
