A wonderful BBS shave with the Lea Classic cream which is very cooling, soothing and full of rich lather and a nice scent. That Rubby Dubby Doo put the proverbial icing on the cake!

 

I use an app to resize my pictures, 10:8 fits perfectly.

Post- Cold water rinse, Humphreys witch hazel, Homemade Bay rum aftershave lotion and Nivea sensitive cooling aftershave balm

Who Said an open comb has to be "aggressive" this is a very mild razor head! In a good way.

Im only gonna use reliable gear for the next few days. That means MdC, Plisson and WEBER. I cant have bumbs and razorburn in the coming days.

I look forward to be able to use this razor a little more and get to know it.

MdC is as always a great performer. And my homemade bay rum AS was the perfect ending to this shave

Not a lot of change since yesterday cuz the razor/blade/soap combo worked so very well together. It's one of those "I could use it every day" set ups. Now I'm ready to face the day looking good, feeling good and smelling just fine. Go enjoy your day folks.

I opened the Fat Boy up to 8 and the shave was very nice. I am not sure if it is better than at 7 or not, but I will give it a couple of days to see.

 

Superb Tabacstag!
Another brilliant performance by Tabac and Der Futur, with special guest, Voskhod. The lather was thick, the cutting was comfortable, and the skin is smooth. I’m ready for parent-teacher conferences this evening. It will be a long day, but a productive one.

10/12/2015 Open Comb October!! / Tobacco Tuesday!

Prep: Hot shower with Neutrogena Face Wash with menthol, home made PSO
Razor: Gillette New Long OC, French Fau Frame Back straight razor
Blade: Astra SP (4)
Brush: Vie Long Horse Hair
Soap: RazoRock - Tobacco #1
After: Home made ASB, Aqua Velva Musk
Cologne: Midnight In Paris

It is Tobacco Tuesday! The Vie Long brush whipped the Tobacco #1 into a nice lather. The Gillette New and the Frenchy did a good job knocking down the stubble. The AV and the MIP were a nice finish for this almost BBS shave.

Actually, Patrick, I had designated October as Birth Year Razor month for me, and I had already planned using my Birth Year Razors. Then, someone suggested Open Comb OCtober. I decided to do both. It is actually working out pretty well.

WTG-XTG-ATG (adjusted angles for my beard)

Speick Cream today. 5 seconds to load the Omega Boar. Easy, thick, slick, lather. Gillette Silver Blue in the Slim. Great smooth, close, shave. I finished with Speick.
