  2. I'm one of those light-bearded guys whose 'five-day growth' is probably comparable to a two-day growth for many... :)

  4. SOTD - This may be a long read, sorry
Diamondine 1005 5/8 made in Germany for the Otto Steinem hardware co Los Angeles Ca. It came to me from ebay in new condition, maybe never honed. I could not get an edge so Jamie Mahoney worked his magic on it. As a rule I like 6/8 on up in size with a 7/8 being my favorite but on occasion I like to use these little petite razors just like our ancestors did for years. Every time I do I get an oustanding shave. These little razors in sometimes mint shape pop up on ebay regularly and rarely sell for more than $50. This one was $41. I love finding these little razors made for hardware companies here in the states. Still looking for one of these made for an Indiana or Ohio company because I grew up on farms in thoise two states
Seifenglatt Cognac with a dab of Coates lavendar creme in the scuttle - I bought three scents in the Seifenglatt line a year ago and never really disliked or liked them. Pretty average in lather for me but adding a small amount of creme just makes the soap bloom into a wonderful thick & slick lather. Wonderful lather today!
Franks Shaving 30 mm extra dense silvertip - love this brush, so soft but firm. best brush in my line of 18 brush's and some cost three times what this one did. I use really hot water and when I first got this one the knot fell out but I glued it back in and it has become my favorite. I know it is a plain jane but it performs so well
Floid Blue - dont need to say anything about this one. Just fabulous in scent & performance for me 20151014_062151_resized.jpg 20151014_062158_resized.jpg

  8. I really am finding the heavier grinds shave much better due to the coarsness of my beard...

  11. Thanks. @gssixgun did a great job on it. I love it. It has a great loft and fans out beautifully. Holds tons of lather .
