OCtober - Trick or TREET October 14 Razor - Gillette 1959 Ball End Tech Blade - (1) Brush - Vie Long 12601 The Pony Soap - Tabac Post - Cold water, Alum, Nivea Original After three really nice shaves with the carbon Treet Silver it's time to move on. The good people at random.org determined that the next blade up is the Treet Falcon, another carbon blade and one I had never heard of until recently. And, they also determined I would use the '59 Ball End Tech. I decided I'd use Tabac with the Pony brush to lay down a nice slick lather to give the Falcon room to hopefully fly. As with most of the Treet blades the wrapper on the Falcon has instructions that say "Do not wipe blade. Leave blade in razor". For the Silver I didn't "wipe" it after each use but simply layed it on a towel to get the moisture off, then reinserted it into the razor and dunked it in 91% alcohol to help remove any water. I'm going to skip that step for the Falcon to see if simply letting it dry and leaving it in place will work. I am drying the razor but not disassembling it and putting it on my desk to avoid staying in the humid bath. We'll see what happens. As for the shave I was once again surprised, though my level of surprise is less than a couple of weeks ago. The blade really performed beautifully. Gave me the carbon audio feedback but was smooth and very effective. I could easily have stopped after two passes with no touch up and been happy. Went ahead and added the third pass with touch up on the neck and caught the baby. Absolutely smooth shave and the alum was only noisy on the neck. That was more of a whimper than anything else. Quite impressed with day one of the Falcon. For a blade I hadn't heard of it's blowing away a lot of others that are more popular with the masses. Now.....will it last?
Razor: Gillette 195 Fat Boy (f1) 1960 (5) (3) Brush: Jerusalem Olive Wood/WD Silvertip 24/48 Mug: Old Spice (Belgium Mug 01) 1970s Cream: Cella classica 1899 Blade: Feather (2) Post shave: Thayers Cucumber WH, Jack Black balm, Old Spice Lime original Shulton cologne Frosted Glass 1960s Just received my Old Spice Belgium made mug, and I'm very happy. I'd been looking for this one for a long time. It's the whitest OS Mug I've seen, and it's perfect. Whipped up some nice warm Cella after loading up my new mug with a thumb nail portion. Love the almond scent. The heavy handle and head of my FB helped with the Feather blade, made quick work in 2 passes. A little touchup on my neck ATG on 3 and done. The WH felt good, nice and cool. After cleanup some JB and when it dries some Vintage Old Spice Lime Cologne. Y'all have a good one!

Little feedback, good reduction. 2nd pass - ATG. Good feedback, better reduction. A darn fine shave - no runs, no hits, no errors! Play ball! RT
I used my 'Homemade Bay Rum,' today! I didn't have any Menthol Crystals to infuse it with,...so; I soaked a bunch of Menthol Cigarette Filters in some 190 Proof 'Everclear, in the brewing-process' with relatively affective-results! "COOL, MAN!" I added it to the mix a couple weeks, back; & let it mix! After my shave, today; I applied it, liberally! It left my face 'suprizingly smooth!' I am happy with the overall outcome!
14oct15 Wow! I'm actually impressed with this Neillite 400 Bakelite. Very smooth, least "drag" across the face of all my razors. Very efficient. The large scallop side is a little more aggressive, like an adjustable on 7+, and the smaller scallop side is like a 3-4..IMO. I got a couple scrapes but nothing serious, the Brut AS didn't even sting as bad as I was expecting. Tomorrow I may give my other Bakelite (Slant Stroke) a try....
