LOVE the Gillette New

    Hey y'all. I just got a Gillette New LC off eBay. This morning I had what was quite possibly the best shave of my life. Very close but very mild. And this sucker is ancient.

    Why did we ever stop using these things??

    Welcome to the Club. The New is a fantastic razor. I am still amazed how a razor can be so efficient and at the same time mild and easy to use.

    Wait til you try an RFB New, New Deluxe, or a Goodwill LC or SC. ! You will really be taken then!

    So true, even though they are very similar, my Red & Black New Deluxe provides a better shave for me.

    Nice score ,I'm a big fan of the NEWs , the razor that hooked me on DE shaving was the razor you have

    I think this vintage DE razor thing might prove dangerous. They're just so good.

    Just picked up a 10 pack of Gillette Blue, a single Gillette blue and a 5 pack of 7 o'clock green blades at my local car boot.
    Now do I use them myself or save them to combine with age appropriate razors? Got the lot for a fiver.

    Very nice! I just picked up a NEW SC last week from a nice guy in Norway. It's crossing the pond now and I'm itching to get my hands (and stubble) on it. Many a great shave to ya.

    I have two Gillette New long comb razors. One have the ball end and the other is the fat handle. I agree that they are fantastic razors and provide one of the best shaves that can be had. After using mine most all of this month, I'm convinced that they are probably one of the best non-adjustable razors ever made.

    Now, why did we ever buy into this cartridge crap?
